The Silver Stringer sites use a software system called. Developed expressly for the project. The tools for creating and publishing content are entirely Web-based. Each member of a community has a user account which enables her or him to log into the system from any computer on the Internet. Setting up a new Silver Stringer site. Develop mission statement and goals. Gather a minimum of 4-6 participants but preferably 10-12. Have access to technical and journalistic expertise if the members don't already come with it. Find a place to meet regularly either in person or online. Come to an agreement on the type of content to be published. Decide on a schedule for frequency of publication. Develop an operations structure (who will be editors, writers, photographers, etc.).
