The first thing people want to discuss with you, after finding out that you’ve had a stroke, is “when did you realise that you might be having a stroke and what were your symptoms? ACIAL WEAKNESS: Can the person smile? Has their face fallen on one side? RM WEAKNESS: Can the person raise both arms and keep them there? Is their speech slurred? IME TO CALL 999.

His article, “The structure of Gratitude” coincides with my friends’ visit to celebrate my birthday. This was quite an experience as due to my left neglect I kept bumping into the wall and running over peoples toes. And the squeal they made was like I was killing them.
