Yangshuo und die 20-Yuan Note - Strolling East
http://strollingeast.com/yangshuo
Simon's Travel Blog. Simon's Travel Blog.
http://strollingeast.com/guangzhou-kunming
Simon's Travel Blog. Simon's Travel Blog.

http://strollingeast.com/chengdu
Simon's Travel Blog. Simon's Travel Blog.
http://strollingeast.com/xian-die-terrakotta-armee
Simon's Travel Blog. Simon's Travel Blog.

Mandalay in two days | wanderland
https://wanderland.it/2014/03/18/mandalay-in-two-days
Mandalay in two days. We spent or first day in town recovering from the heat and the fatigue of the trek on Chin State and the trip in minivan. We only went out to see the sunset on Mandalay Hill: 760 stairs to climb barefoot to get to a temple and have the city at our feet! People usually dedicate more time to the surrounding of Mandalay than to the city itself but there are at least a couple of attractions which really worth the visit: the Shwenandaw Monastery (we didn’t go! Shwe In Bin Kyaung Monastery.

Mandalay in two days. Mandalay is the second-largest city of Myanmar with its one and half million habitants. It has been the last capital of the kingdom from 1860 and 1885 before the British colonized the country changing the capital to Yangon. We took 14 hour to get there from Mindat with a minivan: on the road we had … Continue reading →. Bagan and Chin State. The colonial charm of Yangon. Chilling out in Bangkok. Bagan & Chin State | wanderland
https://wanderland.it/2014/03/12/bagan-chin-state
Bagan and Chin State. From Yangon we took a night bus that arrived in Nyaung U bus station (close to Bagan) at 4.30 am! One of the thing that impressed us the most are the stucco carving that decorate the exterior of the temples: they’re full in details and keep their beauty despite all the erosion and the strong earthquake that hit Bagan in 1973 and destroyed many other temples. We were looking for a guide, instead was the guide who found us! Click to share on LinkedIn (Opens in new window). Fill in you...

Macau: City of Dreams. We spent only three months in Hong Kong, but we had the time to meet nice and friendly people so we were kind of sad to leave. But that’s the good season to visit South-East Asia and the road was calling us again, so. The officials’ languages are Traditional Chinese and Portuguese and it’s funny to see the two combined in street signs, in museums and even in menus at the restaurant. Portuguese restaurant can be found everywhere. Two of them were advised to us: Boa Mesa, not far...

Chilling out in Bangkok. HOW WE GOT THERE:. Boat from Koh Tao to Chumphom. Then night bus (from 9:30pm to 4:30am) until Bangkok South Bus Terminal. GOOD THINGS WE DID:. 8211; Express boat (be careful not to take a touristic boat) both on the Chao Praya River. And the on the canals instead of taking a taxi that could be stucked in the traffic;. 8211; Walking around Chinatown. 8211; Wat Pho. Koh Tao: not just for divers | wanderland

Koh Tao: not just for divers. After one week traveling in the Andaman Sea islands we decided to go east to the Gulf of Thailand. The cheapest way was to take a boat to the mainland, then a bus to Suratthani. And then another a boat. At the beginning our plans was to go to Koh Samui first and then Koh Tao. For us one of the best of the island). Koh Tao is famous all over the world for the huge amount of diving schools where people can get their PADI. Koh Tao is relatively small and it can be easily seen i...
The colonial charm of Yangon | wanderland
https://wanderland.it/2014/03/08/the-colonial-charm-of-yangon
The colonial charm of Yangon. Three weeks travelling in one of the most touristic areas of Southeast Asia was enough: time to change completely, destination: Myanmar! The lady who sold us the bus ticket for Bagan took us to the bus stop and waited for us to jump on the bus. Burmese people are like her: kind and gentle with tourists and probably between each other because for the moment we did not see any arguments (like we did often in China, for example). What about the food? THE ‘DON’T MISS’ OF YANGON.

Strolling Gamely | It's a video game blog about video games.
It's a video game blog about video games. Videogames of the year. Bull;December 29, 2013 • Leave a Comment. Here are some games what I really liked this year, in no particular order. Yeah, this again. Dota is insane. It’s a world-devourer. It’s too much for a single person to learn, far too much. It’s arcane and inaccessible and has a community that runs the full gamut from scum-of-the-earth to nicest-folks-around. I’m a big fan of both approaches. But in a world where the way round Dark Souls ...However...
