Tuesday, October 7, 2014. She is officially a teen! We celebrated the birthday in Adelaide with lunch as a family and a little bit of shopping. Then she had all of her girlfriends come for a sleepover the next weekend. They camped out on the trampoline only to wake up to sprinklers at 2 am. There was much shrieking and some tears as they all got soaked and had to come inside to pile on the living room floor for the rest of the night. All in all it was a birthday to remember! Sunday, July 5, 2015. On the road again. So in Alice they say head South in the Summer and North in the winter, and "they" are right! We drove to Adelaide last October (which was actually during the kids' Spring break here, but close enough), and decided to drive to Darwin for Winter Break and I think we timed it just right. Alice mornings and evening have gotten quite cool, but Darwin was perfectly warm. Sweet Aubrey sharing her tunes with Darcy. Quick stop at the Tropic of Capricorn. On the road again.

We enjoy it so much, that we do the ol' drive-by a couple times a day. Our new neighborhood is right next to Halle's school, and on the way to Wal-mart, so it makes it pretty easy to stalk the guys working on the house. Our new neighbors probably think we are a bit obsessive. We are. We started out with a lot of dirt. And then, we got to watch cement dry for about 2 weeks.
