A Reana del Rojale. L’indagine è iniziata dai Libri Canonici della parrocchia di Reana del Rojale, dove è registrato il battesimo del nonno Eugenio. Di generazione in generazione sono arrivato al battesimo di:. J oseph, figlio di Marco Marcutius et Elisabeth. Che è la prima registrazione dei Marcuzzi a Reana. Le registrazioni dei LCR iniziano nel 1594, e tra questa data ed il 1651 non sono annotati altri Marcuzzi, quindi si deduce che la famiglia è giunta a Reana nella seconda metà del 1600. Notizie varie sulla famiglia. Da un censimento del 1669 degli abitanti di Castions (C.Costantini) si apprende che due masi del Capitolo di Aquileia appartenevano a:. Maso n. 2 Giacomo Stroppolo 22 persone. Maso n. 14 Giacomo Stropulo 6 persone. Il documento indica come primi possessori dei masi (anno 1500 circa) rispettivamente:. E’ strana ed inspiegabile la coincidenza dei nomi propri dei due capi famiglia in due date diverse (1500 e 1669). Francesco Stropul n. 4 persone. Angelo Stropulo n. 6 persone.

Ho ricostruito la genealogia di tutte le famiglie Stroppolo. Utilizzando sia i LC di Castions, sia un elenco riepilogativo compilato dal rev. G. Rizzotti. In alcuni casi, in assenza di informazioni precise, ho ipotizzato le relazioni famigliari con la logica delle date di nascita, matrimonio, morte ed anche con la logica dei nomi tramandati da nonno a nipote. La famiglia di mio nonno Giuseppe proveniva da Roveredo di Torsa (frazione del Comune di Pocenia); la famiglia di mio nonno si è stabilita ad Udine negli ultimi anni del 1800, dopo un breve periodo trascorso in Africa (Eritrea). A Roveredo gli Stroppolo abitavano in un grande casale. Dalla struttura tipica delle case contadine friulane: cucina al piano terra, camere da letto al primo piano, alle quali si accedeva attraverso una scala esterna ed un ballatoio, granaio al secondo piano (sottotetto).
