Jessica Mccaskey: October 2014
http://jessicamccaskey.blogspot.com/2014_10_01_archive.html
Tuesday, 28 October 2014. I have just returned from an amazing trip to Kalymnos, our second trip there this year. I felt a big improvement since our last trip in May, moving a lot more confidently on the massive tufas and stalactites. We flew over to Kos on the 7th, only just catching the ferry to Kalymnos after our flight was delayed. When we arrived at our apartment we found out that they had double-booked our room and so they put us up in a fancy hotel for the night, not too shabby! Neill on Eros 7b.

Monday, 26 January 2015. This January we decided to escape the cold and wet weather in Scotland, so we flew over to Spain for some sunny sport climbing! I'd never been away at this time of year before but it was great.super cheap and a nice temperature for climbing. The holiday cost £300 each for flights, hotel(full board) and car hire! In the evening we met up with Ross and Alan again and went out for a couple of drinks for their last night. We even ended up at a casino in Benidorm! Neill on Olympicos 7c.

http://jessicamccaskey.blogspot.com/2013_02_01_archive.html
Thursday, 7 February 2013. The Sunday was spent searching for some dry rock to get some outdoor photos. Even though the weather was terrible we managed to get a little bit of dry rock for a wee boulder, which isn't very inspriring when you are looking up at classic routes! Anyway, here are some photos from the weekend, courtesy of Mike Hutton. Subscribe to: Posts (Atom). Old man of Stoer. Http:/ www.ecrm-euro.eu/en/. Greenbuild Property Solutions -. Tuesday, 14 January 2014. Definitely need to build up my pathetic calf muscles. The route was pretty exciting as it was totally covered in powder and so it was pretty difficult to find any gear. I think we placed about 5 bits on the whole route! Neill ran out of rope trying to run two pitches together and had to belay halfway up a pitch with no gear, just his ice axes buried in some snow. Probably pretty safe but freaked me out! Subscribe to: Posts (Atom). Old man of Stoer. Greenbuild Property Solutions -.

Jessica Mccaskey: November 2013

Tuesday, 19 November 2013. Sun, Sea and Snow. A couple of weeks ago we got back from our second trip to Sardinia this year. This time we travelled round the island a bit more and visited some pretty cool crags.and beaches! The first place we went was Icily, a place we climbed at in August. This is a really good crag with loads of steep, hard routes but unfortunately it was really hot and so not much went down. Neill managed a pretty tough 7b (originally 7c! Cala Luna.amazing beach. We went up to the Cair...

Jessica Mccaskey: July 2013

Friday, 26 July 2013. A couple of weeks ago we headed down to the Lakes/Peak for a few days and managed to climb the amazing Saxon on Scafell. It was my first mountain route of the year and it was absolutely scorching! It's the first time that I have been to Scafell and I underestimated the walk just a little. The walk in was horrendous, it was over 20degrees and every time we passed a river, we were in it! Gun show to the crag. On the last belay. Subscribe to: Posts (Atom). Old man of Stoer.

Jessica Mccaskey: September 2013
http://jessicamccaskey.blogspot.com/2013_09_01_archive.html
Friday, 6 September 2013. Our first couple of days were spent chilling out and visiting the beach. It was nice being able to swim in the warm sea compared to the freezing lakes in the Lake District or the North sea at Tyninghame. Brian at the beach. On our 3rd day we headed to a crag called Canneland near a wee place called Domasnovus. This was about an hours drive but was well worth it even just to see the big cave.to make it even better, it was a 2 second walk in! We stuck to the same less steep pocket...

Wednesday, 10 October 2012. Plastic on a sunny day? Last weekend, when the weather was glorious, i was indoors pulling on plastic. Embarrassing, i know, but this was my last year as a junior in the BLCCs so i thought i'd give it ago before i get thrashed in the seniors! I was hoping to get a place on the podium this year and felt that 3rd was definitely within reach. However, i hadn't expected a Swiss tank to show up! I popped pathetically and managed to touch the last hold. Dancing with ma agent. Scrapi...
