Crazy travels of an OT: November 2013
http://crazy-ot.blogspot.com/2013_11_01_archive.html
Crazy travels of an OT. I talk about my life as an Occupational Therapist, a wife and a friend. Tuesday, November 19, 2013. Frugal living: Planting my own veggie patch. For years I have wanted my very own veggie patch. Somewhere I can go to when life gets rough and I just want some peace and quiet. Somewhere I can go to to harvest my own food. Well, I FINALLY have started with my little, tiny veggie patch. The tomato and green pepper seedlings and parsley on the far right. Eggplant / brinjal on the far l...

Crazy travels of an OT: May 2015
http://crazy-ot.blogspot.com/2015_05_01_archive.html
Crazy travels of an OT. I talk about my life as an Occupational Therapist, a wife and a friend. Tuesday, May 12, 2015. Day 1 of the 5th Annual Flats and Handwashing Challenge - Why am I doing this? The first time I ever folded a flat was at the young age of 10 years. I had become an aunt, and a very willing one at that, who would do anything for my dearest nephew! Maybe I already realised at that tender age that folding a flat perfectly can be very therapeutic, who knows? 2 Sorting out contact dermatitis.

First off, I cannot BELIEVE that it's been 8 months since my last post. That's rather slapstick of me! Secondly, I have come to learn that there are both pros and cons to being a stay-at-home-mommy (SAHM). Today I'm definitely experiencing a 'con-day'. Pros and Cons of being a Stay-at-home-mom. Crazy travels of an OT: August 2013

Crazy travels of an OT. I talk about my life as an Occupational Therapist, a wife and a friend. Friday, August 16, 2013. The truth about being a Stay-At-Home-Mom. When Linmari was only 3 weeks old, I decided that I want to be a stay-at-home-mom (SAHM). It's a heart desire which did not disappear as time went by. It actually grew stronger and stronger, to the point that my husband wrote my resignation letter and told me I had better go and resign. I love my child, I do. It just seems that she chose th...

Crazy travels of an OT: December 2012
http://crazy-ot.blogspot.com/2012_12_01_archive.html
Crazy travels of an OT. I talk about my life as an Occupational Therapist, a wife and a friend. Wednesday, December 19, 2012. Back to work.back to a nasty reality. My cousin once said to me that she decided to become a full-time mom after she realised that she couldn't be 100% engineer and 100% mom. I now understand what she meant. It broke my heart that she and I could not lie in bed all day, with her simply feeding and sleeping the miserable feeling away. Being a stay-at-home Mom is a FULL TIME JOB!

Crazy travels of an OT. I talk about my life as an Occupational Therapist, a wife and a friend. Saturday, May 26, 2012. Why we chose cloth diapers. A few years ago I would not have thought twice about using disposable nappies. A few years ago I was rather ignorant regarding the cost of disposables. A few years ago we did not decide to have a baby AND buy a house all at the same time (my husband says we're hardcore like that! As for my husband? Here is our current stash:. Now, at first I only wanted all-i...

Crazy travels of an OT: Putting my trust in the LORD (where it SHOULD be!)
http://crazy-ot.blogspot.com/2013/09/putting-my-trust-in-lord-where-it.html
Crazy travels of an OT. I talk about my life as an Occupational Therapist, a wife and a friend. Tuesday, September 3, 2013. Putting my trust in the LORD (where it SHOULD be! I have been 'unemployed' for just over a month now, but only this month has the financial reality of it all sunk in. And then my husband said to me: "Liefie ("Dear"), did anyone die because we lost this income / you missed a termination letter / medical aid was a double premium? Him: "Then why are you so worried? Nothing can convince...

Crazy travels of an OT. I talk about my life as an Occupational Therapist, a wife and a friend. Monday, March 11, 2013. My babagirl is a full 7 months old today! Micro-manages our entire apartment's floor, as well as any other floor / surface she gets into contact with. Still enjoys books but now more for the 'chewing-benefit'. Crawls off a single step as well as the stoep. Crawls ONTO the back veranda! Moves from sitting to four-point kneeling. Is very ticklish on the left side of her neck. Subscribe to...

Crazy travels of an OT: October 2012
http://crazy-ot.blogspot.com/2012_10_01_archive.html
Crazy travels of an OT. I talk about my life as an Occupational Therapist, a wife and a friend. Thursday, October 25, 2012. Growing up too quickly. My little girl is not so little anymore :*( But I enjoy every single day with her! I only have 4 1/2 more weeks of maternity leave left and it saddens me to think that soon these carefree days will be something of the past. I think I'll be photo-blogging a lot more often now, since it's easier to bring my thoughts across. P ), and I must admit that we still u...
