Wednesday, 29 August 2012. End of an Era: Strauss Announces Retirement from Professional Cricket. It's fair to say that today is a sad day for English cricket; but it is also a day we can look back at someone’s career and appreciate all that he has done for England as a player and as a fantastic captain. The list goes on! Since the appointment of his captaincy. And Andy Flower coming in as England coach. He epitomises a great leader. He’s been a selfless cricketer, shying away from the limeligh...We will...

The Broadettes: Ameera
http://thebroadettes.blogspot.com/p/ameera_01.html
I'm Ameera Conrad; actress, singer, writer, Broadette. There're other things that I do which are slightly less significant, but also a big part of me. Something that is significant is that I am the SA representative for the Broadettes - so whenever England is down in Cape Town (my hometown) I'm at Newlands spreading some Broady love! The last time they were here, in fact, I got to work in the England WAGs' suite as a hostess, which is why I support the WAGs as much as the players. People made of awesome!

Monday, 23 December 2013. Broadettes and cricket fans who love helping a cause saw how grateful our lad was earlier this year :) He was clearly surprised that we all managed to pull something like this off and also very proud of all of us (organizers and donors). I do not know about you, but it definitely put a smile on my face. Are doing another fundraiser this upcoming year… this time in memory of the incredible lady who inspired the start of another fantastic charity, The Broad Appeal. We just wanted ...

The Broadettes: Liz

I'm from England, and I love cricket! I first got properly interested in cricket in the early summer of 2008, during the England vs South Africa test series. I first started watching it as a friend introduced it to me, and I immediately began to love the game (and the England team! Subscribe to: Posts (Atom). 6ft 5ins (1.96 meters). Stuart Broad gained international recognition with the England Under-19 side and established himself in the Leicestershire first XI in 2005, thus beginning a meteoric rise that included an England A debut in only his 11th first-class match in March 2006 and a call-up to the senior one-day side five months later. Having hit a Test-best 169 against Pakistan at Lord’s in 2010, Stuart recovered from injury to produce a man of the series display against India in July 2011, which ...

http://thebroadettes.blogspot.com/2012/07/meeting-blonde-beanpole-stuart-broad.html
Friday, 20 July 2012. Meeting the blonde beanpole, Stuart Broad. You know how you have everything planned for when you meet your favourite cricketer, actor, musician etc and everything tend to crumble at that critical moment when you do meet them? Yep, that happened to me, yesterday at the Oval (Day 1 of the 1st Test match against the South Africans). For those who do not know me that well, I have been a fan of Stuart Broad. Signed, somehow manage to take a photo and leave! Best day of my life - to date!

The Broadettes: Megs
http://thebroadettes.blogspot.com/p/megs.html
I'm Meghana and I'm from India. Since this is cricket and Stuart Broad related, I'll keep to it and start off by saying I'm a huge cricket fan, the Australian team being my favourite I'm afraid! I think test cricket is the best form of the game hands down. I'm a tiny supporter in stature, but a big fan at heart. Since then it's been the same craze. He's grown since he first started playing cricket. He's now such a brilliant cricketer! Now he has a new role as England's T20 captain! Unfortunately I've bee...
