Ok, so I've finally got around to writing about the winter (just before the next one. After a very wet start to the summer I was praying for sunshine for my Chamonix-Zermatt. Early August brought more challenging weather to Chamonix. However, there's always something. Late July - Mix and Match. Late July saw me guiding James Gilbert from London for a week. James is a regular. Mont Blanc - a walk on the Wild Side. I'd been keen to climb the Gonella route on Mont Blanc for a long. Winter is well underway.
