Saturday, July 30, 2016. Surprise #1 - A Week with Nana and Papa. As a part of my 30th birthday surprise, Tyler arranged to have my parents arrive at our doorstep, totally unannounced and completely unexpected. I can't tell you how special I felt at the moment when my brain finally processed what my eyes were seeing. Nothing says "I love you" like showing up from 1,700 miles away. Friday, April 29, 2016. I Am in Potty Training Hell. Do you guys remember this post. We are closing in n one year since that post. ONE YEAR. Shortly after my first potty training attempt, we put the whole shenanigan on hold. We dabbled in using the potty if and when he wanted, and otherwise I didn’t push the issue for the next 6 months. Sunday, December 27, 2015. This Christmas was warm, quiet, lazy, and filled with simple joys. We started the morning by ensuring that the reindeer had enjoyed the carrots we left outside for them, and Santa had eaten the cookies and drank the milk we left for him. Saturday, January 7, 2017. Happy 3 months little guy! These last three months have flown by, and I think I can credit much of that to the sleepless haze we've been functioning in. Sweet boy, you are so happy during the day now (yay! And have a pretty consistent schedule, which looks something like: eat, stay awake for a bit over an hour, then sleep for 30-45 minutes. Repeat. In the afternoons you've been skipping a feeding in favor of a longer nap (YAY). These months are flying by far faster than I care ...
