Encounters with wildlife (and people! Monday, 26 April 2010. Look at what's there. Forgot my camera this week, which is really annoying because there were some beautiful soay lambs! We then moved on to the birds which are behind the rabbits. There are some beautiful parrots and some reeve's pheasants. Encounters with wildlife (and people! Sunday, 7 November 2010. Time to say goodbye. It is with sadness that I report I have decided to end my volunteering at the Nature Centre. After six months I felt I have experienced a good range of tasks, and had reached a point where I was ready to move on to other things. There are many volunteers now on a Sunday! I am sure I will go along in future and see how they all are. So if you fancy it, why not think about becoming a volunteer in my place! Dippers on the Don.

Near Leek, in Staffordshire. As soon as we arrived, we saw a nuthatch on the feeders, and two buzzards soaring overhead.
