prettylittleblog: May 2009
http://prettylittleblog.blogspot.com/2009_05_01_archive.html
A blog either stunningly wideranging or with no concept of focus whatsoever! Friday, May 29, 2009. The big wardrobe change. I had this afternoon blocked out to put my winter clothes away and get my summer stuff out. As always I was delighted to rediscover so many lovely items of clothing. I also believe that there clothes that have to be put away for a few years and others that you suddenly see potential that they just didn't have before. I'm fed up with trousers that wear out too fast. And baked for bit.

endlessly elusive: One Man's Treasure...

Wednesday, September 15, 2010. Working in an antique shop, I think the phrase I hear most often is a variation on 'We had these when I was a kid'. Or, 'My mom had this when I was growing up.' Always, 'my mom'. At first my retail-tuned ears would perk up at this, thinking that now they would obviously have to buy it. With an emotional attachment to the object, how could they leave it behind? It certainly casts the two rings I bought earlier this week in a new light. I wonder what damned spots they bear.
