Saturday, November 30, 2013. Those of you that know me, know that I HATE winter with a cold passion. BUT, this year, I've made my winter nest and started knitting again. I have knit since I was five years old, but haven't picked up the sticks since 1995. WOW, that was a long break! I've been having a blast making little slouched berets and a few garments. Lots of filigrana twistie and working hard to get a good reaction on the iris with the silver glass, just like real eyes, they are all unique. More silver glass hollows. These lovely floral clusters feature heavy petaled flowers stitched securely to handmade silk stuffed cord. This cord is SO comfortable to wear . . .a little like a combination of scarf and necklace.
