Where creative elements happen. This taco filling was inspired by Fresh Cafe in Des Moines. Since I live 45 minutes from any big city I have to recreate things I enjoy in order to enjoy them more! This was not an easy one to recreate. I didn’t really come as close as I’d like, but that just means I’ll enjoy the tacos at Fresh Cafe even more (and you should go there too so you can have the real thing). Taco ‘Fill You Up’ Filling. The nuts and bolts. 1 clove fresh garlic microplaned. 2 tsp chili powder.

Today was a bit of a fail. I caved and went to the store for burger fixings. I mentioned the emotional eating/food spending, right? I’m proud. I’m standing tall muthaf*ckers! Seriously though, I made it 7 days before breaking down and veering off my menu path. It’s a win in my book. Really good. I used this recipe. You may use these.
