Trinity Fellows Program: May 2008
http://trinityfellowsprogram.blogspot.com/2008_05_01_archive.html
The Convergence of Faith, Life, Work, and Culture. Wednesday, May 28, 2008. I pulled into the driveway of a home in Charlottesville, and took a deep breath before walking up to the porch and ringing the doorbell. The door opened and I saw the family for the first time and realized how nervous I was. What if they didn’t like me? What if they were strange people? What a valuable experience! Trinity Fellows Program: February 2009
http://trinityfellowsprogram.blogspot.com/2009_02_01_archive.html
The Convergence of Faith, Life, Work, and Culture. Friday, February 20, 2009. By Andrew Simmons and Jenny Fearnow. One of us was recently in a staff meeting in which a supervisor asked, “Y’all took a N’awlins trip recently, didn’cha? I don’t know why people keep going down there. It’s just gonna flood again.” Yes, people are indeed still going down to the Crescent City after Katrina’s second, and more catastrophic, landfall on August 29th, 2005. So, why? Will our visits realistically change anything?

B-Wildered: Resurrection and the Lord's Supper
http://b-wildered.blogspot.com/2006/02/resurrection-and-lords-supper.html
Tuesday, February 21, 2006. Resurrection and the Lord's Supper. Speaking of the resurrection, did you know that your understanding of the resurrection affects your understanding of the Lord's Supper- and vice versa? This was brought home to me as I was reading Calvin's. With a grad student last semester. So, is there anything in faith and life that this doctrine doesn't touch? Do Christians partake of the body and blood of Christ quite literally and objectively? Or is Jesus speaking only figuratively?

B-Wildered: The temple presence of God
http://b-wildered.blogspot.com/2005/09/temple-presence-of-god.html
Monday, September 26, 2005. The temple presence of God. Among us" ( John 1:14. In this class we picked up on that theme of. Of God dwelling among his people. It is this rebuilt eschatological temple to which the prophets look: the ultimate hope of God's permanent presence among his people. And the story moves inexorably to its appointed conclusion. In only the second chapter of John, Jesus judges the temple of Herod ("Do not make my Father's house a house of trade") and announces its replacement: "De...

Trinity Fellows Program: January 2007
http://trinityfellowsprogram.blogspot.com/2007_01_01_archive.html
The Convergence of Faith, Life, Work, and Culture. Wednesday, January 24, 2007. Family night and Jesus. Tuesday nights are a welcome reprieve from the marathon whirlwind of a Fellows week. It’s a chance for me to relax and really enjoy being here with my host family and also just by myself for a while. Stillness and quiet, in my opinion, are underrated—stillness and quiet with the Lord even more so. Not that it’s that difficult to see it from the outside, but it’s another thing entirely for a...But it me...

The Convergence of Faith, Life, Work, and Culture. Wednesday, January 28, 2009. Common Grounds Post- "A True Portrait is Never Pretty". Our greatest desire is to be fully known and fully accepted. . Deep down we want someone to see us for who we are- the beautiful with the ugly- and neither balk in disgust nor mistake us for something we are not, something better with fewer blemishes and flaws. . And yet, we fear the fulfillment of the very thing we desire. . I recently had a show that consisted of...
