Right now, we do after reading activities, but I am hoping to incorporate the beginning and during reading strategies as well. Strategies, you are basically establishing a purpose for reading and surveying the material to be read. Use these not only in reading class but in your other classes as well. Write out what you know about the subject you are going to read about. Use the 5Ws and How as guides. Look for key words.
