Stuff on the Road.....

Stuff on the Road. Friday, November 10, 2006. Wow, traffic reporters sure can be specific. Joe McConnell was giving me the update this morning. It was friggin' early - around 7:00am (I had an early meeting), so I didn't have to deal with too many cars on the road. But I still enjoy the reports. This morning, Joe said traffic was backed up somewhere in the East Bay because of a fiberglass ladder. Posted by Life in the Fast Lane at 5:36 PM. Wednesday, November 08, 2006. Stuff on the Road.....: August 2006

http://stuffontheroad.blogspot.com/2006_08_01_archive.html

Stuff on the Road. Wednesday, August 23, 2006. Hats, Hats, Hats. Yes, it was all hats this morning. But before even seeing the hats, I saw a broom head. You think someone was trying to sweep the freeway, but got really pissed off at how dirty it was and slammed the broom against the center median, breaking off the head? I don't know. Just a thought. If they were huge hats (compared to the size of the cars on the road), then it could have looked like this:. Posted by Life in the Fast Lane at 10:59 PM.

Stuff on the Road.....: I'm Back.....

http://stuffontheroad.blogspot.com/2006/11/im-back.html

Stuff on the Road. Wednesday, November 08, 2006. I know it's been more than two months since I've posted, and trust me, I feel guilty about the lapse. But I'm back now, and I am committing to updating at least once a week. I've been sick with the flu since Monday, so I haven't been driving much this week. But I have seen and heard about a lot in the last couple of months, so I'll tell you about some of my favorites. One thing I did see was a Yankees hat. Posted by Life in the Fast Lane at 8:22 PM.

Stuff on the Road. Thursday, August 17, 2006. Intro to Stuff on the Road. Today, there was the report of a shovel. In the middle road, causing large traffic backups on the commute home. There's no snow - it's August - and that freeway doesn't have any current construction. How did it get there? Posted by Life in the Fast Lane at 8:02 PM. Life in the Fast Lane. Stuff on the Road.....: It Does Get Chilly in the Summer Here.....

http://stuffontheroad.blogspot.com/2006/08/it-does-get-chilly-in-summer-here.html

Stuff on the Road. Friday, August 18, 2006. It Does Get Chilly in the Summer Here. Today I saw a blanket. On the road as I was driving to work. It was on the shoulder, so it wasn't stopping any traffic, although it was red. It looked clean and nice, like the kind of thing you might want to curl up with on your couch on a cold, rainy Sunday. This was on the freeway, not by one of the exit ramps, where homeless people make their homes. Maybe the road was cold? Posted by Life in the Fast Lane at 8:55 AM.

Jen and Jon take a very long walk off a very short pier. Wednesday, October 18, 2006. A Short Description of a Few States. We hit the sack, ending Day 1. To follow are our impressions of the states we visited or drove through en route to the East Coast:. Unreal post-underwater collage. Chilling, surreal, thought-provoking. Warm people and impressive homespun hospitality. Jon only got hit up to be a Mormon once! Why oh why did the rain follow us there? May we recommend the grits at Lucille's. Equipment)&#...

Jen and Jon take a very long walk off a very short pier. Sunday, December 03, 2006. Finally, we're moving the blog from Roatan, Honduras south of the equator to Buenos Aires, Argentina. This is our first time in the Southern Hemisphere; for those interested, the water drains. In both the tub and the sink. Please try and contain your excitement. There are several important yet simple improvements in Buenos Aires over Roatan. First, you can drink the water. How did we end up here in Buenos Aires? Lisa invi...

Jen and Jon take a very long walk off a very short pier. Tuesday, February 06, 2007. We’ve left Argentina and have traveled around New Zealand for the last 5 weeks. It’s been fantastic visiting our cousins in the Southern Hemisphere. But before we delve into everything EN ZED. We ought to catch you up on how we got here. Which is kinda like climbing between the two suspension towers of the Golden Gate). We've heard Auckland is best enjoyed by those who live there, however, many Kiwis have little nice...

Jen and Jon take a very long walk off a very short pier. Saturday, October 28, 2006. We took our first flight on Monday 10/23/06, and we started to get a real feeling for beginning the trip. While we did not leave the country we did go to Miami or, as one might call it, Cuba Del Norte. 2 If you kill the gator right away, it ruins the meat and the skin. After the Everglades trip, we went to the beach. We did not see David Caruso from CSI: Miami investigating any grisly crime scenes. Disappointing&...Hondu...

Jen and Jon take a very long walk off a very short pier. Friday, November 17, 2006. More Roatan, More Fun. Continuing with our trip to Roatan. You might be wondering what Jen. Has been doing while I was off diving. Jen has come out on the boat a couple times, to snorkel and to sit. For those of you who don’t know one of Jen’s small imperfections, she has a plastic eardrum. Also, I haven’t been diving the entire time. Jen and I have visited the Butterfly Sanctuary. Are from Charleston, SC and are both in ...

Jen and Jon take a very long walk off a very short pier. Sunday, November 05, 2006. Folks, sorry this post and the next two are kinda late. I've heard clamor for more on Roatan and you can't have clamor causing commotion. The internet connection in Roatan was super sucky, and pricey to boot. Posts will be arriving more regularly now that we're in Buenos Aires.). Meanwhile, I set off in search of a dive shop. Roatan is also known as an excellent place to become a certified diver. Jen and Jon take a very long walk off a very short pier. Saturday, January 13, 2007. Argentina, We Hardly Knew Ya. This blog was written by Jen on Christmas Eve in a Los Angeles hotel near the airport. As we waited for our flight to New Zealand. Now we’re nearly three weeks in New Zealand and Jon is just now reviewing and posting. So much to say, we’re going to just bust right through the 500 word blog guideline and also post as many pictures as we can. On with the blog! Okay, we’re terrible bloggers.
