Babywearing | Stumbling through parenting

Meandering musings on the marvels of motherhood! I found out that although clearly better than not holding your baby, these “high street slings” as they’re known aren’t the best for baby or baby wearer. The narrow crotch means their legs dangle at an angle which isn’t great for the development of hip joints (find out more about hip dysplasia here. And they’re not ergonomically great on the wearer’s back either. Can explain it better than me. So, the beauty of the sling library meant that I could swap tha...

Meandering musings on the marvels of motherhood! A day in the life of H…. June 10, 2013. Mother says she’s not too keen on the sun shining but I have decided I love it. I don’t have to have all the same opinions as her, do I? Maybe I can persuade her summer is good. It is, after all, my Birthday Season. Some things that make summer more fun than the winter:. When we go in the car (yuck, hate those car journeys), the window is open and I can see out better and have a lovely draft on my head. I can practis...

Meandering musings on the marvels of motherhood! August 7, 2013. 8220;Where have we been? 8221; I hear you cry. It’s been months since Mother has let me write a blog post and even when I did write them, Father was too busy to be our webmaster. But we’re back now and I can update you with everything that has been going on. Well I’d better go and do some gardening now. Father loves me helping, and I love to drink the hosepipe. What fun we have! This entry was posted in News. August 7, 2013 at 2:25 pm.

Meandering musings on the marvels of motherhood! Blenders have only existed for the past handful of decades, so what did people do before that? Well yes, maybe they fed their babies gruel or mashed food up with a fork, but to me the natural way to start a baby on solid foods is just to give him whatever you’re eating and let him explore it for himself, setting his own pace. A beautiful description of what purée-fed babies go through can be found on babyledweaning.com. Leave a Reply Cancel reply.

What is BLW, anyway? And what is it not..? - Baby Led Weaning

Growing healthy babies with healthy appetites. What is BLW, anyway? And what is it not? Right, this is coming totally off the top of my head, so forgive me. I will add, edit, fumble and apologise later if I’ve inadvertently stuffed something up…. Recently I’ve seen so many people fighting over what Baby Led Weaning actually means. Not on our own www.babyledweaning.com. Website, funnily enough, and not on our forum. Both of which are havens of tolerance and gorgeousness dontchaknow, but Facebook. Is this ...

With the Grace of Mae. Living, learning, laughing, loving. Gone but not forgotten. September 16, 2013. It’s been over two months since I visited my blog. Over 2 months since I sat and read my favourite blogs. I’ve been gone but I certainly have not forgotten about my little place on the world wide web! With the Grace of Mae. Living, learning, laughing, loving. Thanking some fellow bloggers…. June 8, 2013. Yep – everywhere C goes, little sister is in tow! We are entering a new phase in our girl’s life and there are some.umm.teething problems! C is finding this difficult as she is, by nature, a bit of a lone ranger. She prefers her own space. I’m sure once L is old enough to. So we are going through a bit of a phase where I am getting my first taste as the role of mediator! And as with all phases, this w...

Tuesday, August 14, 2012. PDF Files and SharePoint 2010. SharePoint does not inherently handle PDF files as a known file type by default. June 29, 2015. Marriage and the Grace of God. The second thought, far more important than the first, is that. We should support this. We should support this because Jesus would support this. Allow me to explain. So if we ask the perennial Evangelical question of What Would Jesus Do in response to the legalization of gay marriage, I’d say he’d probably bring the wine.
