Todd Maeda: November 2013
http://toddmaeda.blogspot.com/2013_11_01_archive.html
Thursday, November 28, 2013. A Happy Thanksgiving 2013! Ah I wasn't going to do this. Post Then some things happened that made me rethink that position. So I am thankful for my family, and everything that means. That I have a job. That I have a roof over my head, and food in my tummy. I am grateful for the opportunity to be there for people. And my closest friends. And I am thankful to still have my thumb, in spite of myself. So far. Hope you all had or are having a happy and safe Thanksgiving! Oh, Dear&...

Todd Maeda: December 2014
http://toddmaeda.blogspot.com/2014_12_01_archive.html
Thursday, December 25, 2014. Holidays, stresses, glimmer of hope. The holidays. A time for celebration. Fellowship. Friends and Family. I do hope you are all doing well, out there. I Am stressing. Wake up to 148/94. And I haven't even gotten out of bed, yet. Makes for a very bad rollercoaster ride. Which is why I believe I need to get out. Move on. Soon. Not yet sure how this will happen. There are some plans. But they are as set as hot Jell-O. I keep telling myself that there is a light at the end of th...

Todd Maeda: Remember. Honor. Respect
http://toddmaeda.blogspot.com/2014/05/remember-honor-respect.html
Monday, May 26, 2014. Remember. Honor. Respect. As I watch the car races, baseball games, playoffs, grilling suggestions, and faces relieved to see a long weekend (happy is good! I pause to reflect on why we get to to do this. Why we are here. Why we are still here. We are. A nation of immigrants. Very few get to say they are "native.". We are. Workaholics. We are working, or thinking of work, for much of our waking hours. Even if we don't think we are. Burning our candles at both ends. But this day is f...

Todd Maeda: March 2014
http://toddmaeda.blogspot.com/2014_03_01_archive.html
Saturday, March 29, 2014. Go stand in the corner! Last week was one of those weeks that didn't let up on the triggers, to the point of being extra-chippy. On the advice/cajoling/prodding of a co-worker, I took last 2 days off. It was some time later that I realized that this would be the first extended (read: more than a 3 day weekend) planned. Time off since a certain event. And the anniversary of that event. So, thank you for the kick in the butt, co-worker friend! Oh When I was shooting the L&L Drive ...

Wednesday, December 25, 2013. Merry Christmas and Happy Holidays! As we close 2013, may we put aside the stresses and strains of life and the pursuit of the perfect gift, to take a little time to reflect on what is really important to us. Family. True friends. Love them fiercely, as there is no more valuable gift. Merry Christmas, folks. And a Happy and Safe Holidays. See you in 2014! Links to this post. Sunday, December 15, 2013. Am adjusting to life without this formerly insignificant piece of flesh th...

Todd Maeda: Normal
http://toddmaeda.blogspot.com/2013/12/normal.html
Sunday, December 15, 2013. This past Thanksgiving, I celebrated by shaving off the end of my thumb with a peeler. Just enough to get below all the skin. Blood everywhere, but I could staunch the bleeding myself, so no trip to E.R. But that's not what I'm here about. You see, the section of thumb I lost was rather insignificant, size-wise. Bleeding stopped, life goes on. Right? Can't even imagine what those that lose whole body parts go through. So, belatedly, I am thankful for still being whole. I.

The Web 2.0 | legacy
http://guardianlegacy.blogs.lincoln.ac.uk/2013/05/23/the-web-2-0
The Web 2.0. May 23, 2013. Despite having only existed for a few decades, the internet now governs every aspect of our lives. We use it to chat to our friends, book our holidays and distract ourselves with endless trivia and cat videos. We cannot exist without it and yet it is wholly reliant on us. What will the internet look like in 10 years and how will we interact with it? This technology won’t just be in our appliances, it will eventually be found in almost everything we own and everything we interac...

Adobe AIR 1.5 for Linux. December 19, 2008 by Matt.Braun. One of the engineers on my team prefers to use Linux for development (specifically writing Java code in Eclipse), but has been a bit dissatisfied with Adobe’s release lag in pushing out Flash run-times like AIR for Linux (Ubuntu in his case). More detail is available on the Adobe AIR blog: http:/ blogs.adobe.com/air/2008/12/adobe air 15 now available for.html. Aurora (Part 1) - Web Browser of the Future? August 05, 2008 by Matt Braun.
