Great tasting dish for using up those leftovers. 10 slices honey wheat bread, stale*, toasted. 1 yellow onion, diced. 5 stalks celery, diced. 1/2 MACINTOSH apple, diced. Just another WordPress.com weblog. This is a similar salad to a local Italian restaurant with a couple of substitutions. Field greens (already prepared in the bag), tomato, red onion, cucumber, baby bella mushroom, macintosh apple, walnuts and craisins. Saturday, February 28, 2009. My parents are in town this weekend, and my Father has this wonderful, light recipe with crab, cilantro, lime, olive oil, and peppers! It's got just the right amount of spice! 2 shallots, chopped finely. 1 lb lumb crab meat, shredded. 1 jalepeno, seeded and chopped. 2 big handfuls of cilantro, chopped. 1/2 a red or orange bell pepper, chopped finely. 2 limes, juiced. Sea salt and cracked black pepper. Combine all ingredients in a mixing bowl, season to taste. 1 tbsp olive oil.
