Trinkets and Allegories: When I Grow Up...
http://trinketsandallegories.blogspot.com/2011/03/when-i-grow-up.html
Tuesday, March 22, 2011. When I Grow Up. After much thought, I'd decided that when I grow up I want to be the offspring of Mardi Love and Dante Gabriel Rossetti. I want to embrace what inspires me, generate my own beauty, unleash it upon the world, and damn anyone else who might call it a hunk of crap. I want to embrace my own individuality, not try to smother it, and enjoy what I do. When i grow up. March 23, 2011 at 12:01 PM. I love you so much, and I will always, always support you and your decisions.

Trinkets and Allegories: May 2011
http://trinketsandallegories.blogspot.com/2011_05_01_archive.html
Sunday, May 1, 2011. The weekend is almost over and I've been very, very uncreative lately - largely due to the fact that I've been knocked down with the flu this past week. No dance class, no painting class, just sitting around at home huddled under covers watching reruns of America's Next Top Model (yes, I know, but it's such good rubbish when you're sick! The weekend before I fell ill, I finally visited the Halifax Seaport Farmer's Market. Subscribe to: Posts (Atom). View my complete profile.

Trinkets and Allegories: November 2010
http://trinketsandallegories.blogspot.com/2010_11_01_archive.html
Thursday, November 11, 2010. Finds from the last post. The next photo is a concept sketch for a painting I might do - it's still in the twinkle in a mother's eye stage, but it might begin formation in the next couple of days - I'll keep people posted! Tuesday, November 9, 2010. I finally made my way out to the "other side of town" to track down some of my supplies and managed to get a hold of a couple of things - though I still have quite a ways to go. They're all different sizes, but a majority of the o...

Trinkets and Allegories: October 2010
http://trinketsandallegories.blogspot.com/2010_10_01_archive.html
Friday, October 29, 2010. I love to go hunting at thrift stores and, since I've moved to Halifax, The Black Market to see if I can find anything super cheap and amazing that I can either use as is or fix up to make even more awesome. Here are a couple of my most recent finds, including three awesome discoveries I made today on my lunch break. Now they're awesome and perfectly wearable (I know one is missing a couple of dangles, but I just think that makes them look kinda quirky). Tribal fusion belly dance.

un torontois errant: Overload, pt. 2
http://uncanadienerrant.blogspot.com/2008/06/overload-pt-2.html
Tales from the 55th parallel. Friday, June 13, 2008. Overload, pt. 2. Cambodia. Kampuchea. Land of the Khmer. Best surprise to date? The food. Coconutty. Curries. Ridiculously fresh fish. It's quite similar to Thai food, and just as delicious. Best place in Cambodia to get a sunburn? Most jaw-droppingly, eye-openingly awesome place to visit? If you've seen Tomb Raider, you've seen some of Angkor Wat. Moss-covered buildings, stunning rock carvings, giant tree roots wrapping themselves around 1000 year...

un torontois errant: Two roads diverged in a yellow wood

Tales from the 55th parallel. Monday, March 31, 2008. Two roads diverged in a yellow wood. And sorry I could not travel both. And be one traveler, long I stood. And looked down one as far as I could. To where it bent in the undergrowth. As my time here in South Korea starts to wind down, I've begun a list of things to do before I leave. I've started and stopped writing this post several times now, for the simple reason that I'm not sure what my point is, or even if I have one. I think I'm just happy ...

http://uncanadienerrant.blogspot.com/2008/06/overload-pt-1.html
Tales from the 55th parallel. Friday, June 13, 2008. Overload, pt. 1. The past two weeks have been strange and fun and emotional for a million different reasons, but I'll try to start from the top and work through them. Bear with me. Smaller than North Bay, Ontario, which has an estimated population of 70,000 people. Even if we assume every residence in Kaesong is crammed to the brim with occupants (not an unreasonable assumption, perhaps), it still seems unlikely to get anywhere near the stated total.
