Moebius Stripper, a college professor, is struggling with a pre-calculus class full of unprepared students. Although I feel sorry for Moebius Stripper, I can't help but laugh when I read some of the entries at TD&M. For example, we have this, from an entry called I know, blogging about it only makes it worse.

Don't make me assign homework. Sunday, March 06, 2005. Sorry it's been so long since I've updated. They punished me for about a week and a half (the norm) for not answering the phone on the 22nd. They called on Friday (at 6:30 am, earlier than normal no less), but I couldn't take the job. My husband's grandmother died Thursday night, and we had to travel across the state on Friday to be with his mother (who was not handling it very well) and to attend the viewing and service this weekend. Don't make me assign homework. Tuesday, April 19, 2005. I got a call this morning around 10:00am for HS #2. Apparently someone had really messed up and didn't line up a substitute teacher for a math teacher's class, and they needed me to get there as soon as possible. Next class was a planning period. I grabbed some bottled caffeine and set up for the final class. I mean, they actually used a BOOK. With EXAMPLES even! It was just Pythagorean Theorem, but hey, it was something easy I could help them with.

Obviously I could still hear, but I like to watch. One really nice aspect of the concert was that they were filming it, so they weren't allowing smoking in the auditorium.
