Screwdle: TF2 Lego MOC: The Hospital Mark 2
http://www.bunivasal.com/2015/05/tf2-lego-moc-hospital-mark-2.html
Thursday, May 14, 2015. TF2 Lego MOC: The Hospital Mark 2. I redesigned the LEGO hospital to work as a standalone building set. With 840 pieces, it's my largest build yet. Still working on tightening up the architectural complexity, but I quite like the look of the windows, which I think mirrors the actual design of the hospital. This set would come with a Heavy, a Medic, some foes, and an ubercharged Heavy Medic team. Subscribe to: Post Comments (Atom). TF2 Lego MOC: The Hospital Mark 2. This Is The Show.

Monday, April 27, 2015. LEGO MOC: Meet the Scout. Number four in my Team Fortress 2 / LEGO MOC set, this time featuring the Scout. This set was designed to hit a much lower price point, in the $10-15 range, so it only contains about 200 pieces. I was striving to build some sets that would add some customizing options to other sets. These are two shipping containers, which seemed like a rather fitting prop for the Scout. The RED container also contains a small health kit. Cherry Fission and Bonk! Well, we...

Wednesday, May 27, 2015. I love looking at old designs. Abandoned concepts. Cut content. More than playing videogames, sometimes I like just seeing into creators brains. I've talked about the interesting light that concept art can shed on a game in my cut content blog entries for Bioshock. And I absolutely adored the Fuck Yeah Beta Pokemon. Anyway, app games are a great place to look at cut content! The iconic Rifleman. On the left is the beta version I found on the Internet Wayback Machine. That about w...

Sunday, March 29, 2015. Game Mechanics: 3 Redesign Ideas for the Bioshock Franchise. So today I sat down, dialed my brain back through the last eight years, and revisited some ideas I had for the Bioshock games. Some of these ideas are original. Some of them are loosely based on concept art or cut content. I'm just thinking. 1) Bioshock 1 and 2: Surviving Humans. Looked like Waders. What do you mean, they're regular people? How do I tell? Give me some context! 2) Bioshock 2: Repair missions. Instead, it'...

Screwdle: Sunday Shorty: Gotham

Sunday, April 19, 2015. Hey, we're making a Batman-themed ultragritty police drama.". Will there be powerful, independent women? Shit, yeah, dog. There'll be tons of tough ladies! And domestic abuse." "Awesome! And, wait what? Oh, domestic abuse. Yeah, you know Batman's colorful entourage of villains that commit cute themed robberies? But there will still be Batman stuff, right? That actually sounds radical.". Subscribe to: Post Comments (Atom). LEGO MOC: Meet the Scout. LEGO MOC: The Demomans Bomb Lab.

Screwdle: November 2013

Friday, November 22, 2013. Abandoned Concepts with Bioshock Infinite. I live in a world of half-formed ideas. Seeing the development of movies and video games, especially in that fertile first ground before everything has been finalized, where the really wild ideas grow. Often I'll like a game's concept art more than I like the finalized version. With Bioshock Infinite's second DLC dropping on Tuesday, I wanted to revisit my copy of the The Art of Bioshock Infinite. None of this, and nothing like it, exi...

Screwdle: LEGO MOC: The Sniper Tower
http://www.bunivasal.com/2015/04/lego-moc-sniper-tower.html
Monday, April 13, 2015. LEGO MOC: The Sniper Tower. Another LDD design. I guess I'm doing a series now, because I don't think I'm wired correctly! Seriously, I keep me locked in my basement, it would be abduction if I were also someone else. In addition to being me. For the Sniper I was going for a more spartan feel to match his lifestyle, and also because I was looking to make a $30 set. I think there may need to be more embellishments on the roof. The camper van is something else I'm pretty proud of...
