Wednesday, July 9, 2014. In just a few short days the boys have seemed to settle right in to life in Raleigh! It still breaks my heart that they might be missing their herd, but they seem to be enjoying themselves, so hopefully they're over that soon. They do still cry loudly when we leave them, or at random times during they day. They're great about going to bed though! As soon as it's dark, they're in their house and we dont hear them again until we go see them in the morning! The Way We Tote Our Goats.

Wednesday, June 25, 2014. What do you do when you live inside the city limits of Raleigh, but you have a large yard that backs up to a creek and is constantly overgrown? You buy goats, of course! At first, the thought occurred to my husband to rent a herd. But at $1200 for two days, that didnt seem like the most cost effective option. The nice woman who rented her herd suggested our lot was perfect for two pygmy goats; fencing was already in place and we had lots of food! 160; Those are my shorts!

Monday, July 7, 2014. The Squig-man is starting to feel better. He still turned up his nose at milk and alfalfa all day, but has resumed eating his hay. After a little research online, we offered him some baking soda, which he readily gobbled down (and sneezed in - cutie pie! We think our little Schnauzer friend is just being a concerned neighbor, as they both seemed to not pay her much attention today! But apparently she cries when she hears them cry!
