Thursday, August 16, 2012. Yesterday we visited the zoo for the first time this year with Grandpa and Aunt Roxanne and her kiddos. It was a beautiful day and we had a great time discovering all the animals. We watched the penguins swallow fish, heard the tigers roar, and were entertained by an acrobatic and entertaining monkey! We met this penguin just walking around and he posed for a photo. Talking to the parrots. The lion and lioness were in full view and looking very large! Another cat to ride.

Sunday, June 17, 2012. Gideon fell backwards off of G&G Anglin's swing this afternoon and landed on a rock. I was in the house when Aaron brought him in crying and bleeding. It was a terrible amount of blood for a little cut! It eventually stopped bleeding, and we decided he'll survive without stitches. I'm sure he's got a whopper of a headache though! Thursday, October 25, 2012. The kids were thrilled to wake up to snow this morning! We had to pull out the boxes of winter coats and boots to get them bundled up to go to school. Gideon would have played outside in it all day if I'd let him. Snowy pumpkins and happy, warm kids - off to school! In some ways I miss it, but in some ways I dont! Sunday, August 26, 2012. So crazy that school starts tomorrow! Where has the summer gone? Hillview Back-To-School Night was Thursday and the girls were super excited to go! They loaded up their new backpacks with all their school supplies and off we went. Here are their classrooms on the school map. Addi is in Ms. Zinzer's morning kindergarten class - the same teacher McKinley had. This her hook, where she will hang her backpack on the first day of school! Thursday, August 23, 2012. Sunday, June 12, 2011. First Camping Trip of the Season. We finally got out of town this last weekend for our first camping trip of the summer. We headed up to Henry's Lake in Island Park. We usually camp there Memorial Day weekend, but this year the snow was still piled up in our camping spot and the weather was not cooperating, so we postponed a couple weeks. Saturday, May 26, 2012. We will miss you! Our fun neighbors moved today and we are going to miss them! McKinley, Kiahna, and Addi have been great friends the past few months, playing outside together all spring. Kiahna and McK have enjoyed walking home from school together. Gideon and Kye have been good buddies too. It's been nice to have another boy around for Gid to play rough with. It has been so fun to have such great playmates just next door. Sunday, October 7, 2012. We had a great weekend watching general conference. In addition to conference activity books for my kids, this year I added something new - a basket of treats! Everything is better with snacks! Each treat had a photo of one of the general authorities taped to it, so when he spoke, the kids could find his photo and eat that snack. They loved it and even learned a few names and faces in the process. McKinley decided her favorite apostle is Elder Bednar because he is so handsome!

Thursday, August 23, 2012. Today we headed over to Tautphus Park Funland for one more day of summer fun. The kids each earned a ticket from the library summer reading program for one free ride and then Mom treated them each to 2 more rides. Addi ready for take-off. Gid and McK on the airplanes. McK and Gid chugging along. Addi waiting with her ticket for the Farris Wheel. Such a big girl riding alone! McKinley riding alone after Gid chickened out and decided not to ride with her. Round and round we go.

Tuesday, August 30, 2011. Hamiltons hosted our Fuhriman Family Reunion this year in Salt Lake. It was a great, fun-filled weekend! We headed down thursday morning (our first trip in our new van! And met up at Brad's cabin near Park City. We had fun playing at the cabin, riding 4-wheelers and just enjoying being in the beautiful mountains.
