Growing and Cooking: Thursday's Kitchen Cupboard
http://wildernessgrowingandcooking.blogspot.com/2012/10/thursdays-kitchen-cupboard.html
Thursday, October 4, 2012. Even though it is the end of the season for the garden, the pantry seems to be getting a steady flow of new goodies being added to it each week. One more of my best friends this time of year. Mr. Squeezo. An elderly gentleman gave this to my husband and I about 30 years ago as he didn't use it anymore. I checked the price of them about a year ago and boy am I glad it was a gift. I use it for making apple sauce and tomato juice. Be sure you stop by our host, The Gardener of Eden.

This week was breakfast food for the freezer so did pancakes and waffles. Fresh made pizza. Green peppers were from the freezer stash. First attempt at corning my own beef. Before cooking. And crock...

Friday, October 19, 2012. Thursday's Kitchen Cupboard on Friday 10/19/12. OK so I am confused. Guess I didn't know yesterday was Thursday so will post a day late. Seems it has been a busy week as usual cooking but very few pictures. All those little potatoes that seem to come with the big ones when you grow your own what to do with them. Growing and Cooking: January 2012
http://wildernessgrowingandcooking.blogspot.com/2012_01_01_archive.html
Monday, January 30, 2012. Now I need to get the planting scheme out of my head and onto paper to see where everything is going to fit before I start planting seed. Since most of my garden is a large garden and not raised beds it is a little more difficult. On the 10th of January I planted a couple of tomatoes just to see how the new starter kit for the Aero Garden worked and so far I am very satisfied with the results. Did 2 peppers but only 1 germinated. Also my onion seed have hatched. Every Friday I m...

Growing and Cooking: Bread Recipes
http://wildernessgrowingandcooking.blogspot.com/p/bread-recipes.html
This is the Italian Bread. You can also make one big loaf but I do 2 loaves and usually put one in the freezer. This is a bread machine recipe but baked in the oven. 1 1/2 T Olive Oil. 1 3/4 tsp Salt. 1 1/2 tsp Yeast. 1 1/8 C Warm Water divided. Even thought I use a bread machine to make my dough sometimes, I still bloom my yeast with 1/4C of warm water and sugar. Now this loaf of white sandwich bread is not a pretty as the Italian bread but is just as good. 1 1/2 tsp salt. 1 1/8 C Warm Water. Seed Start...

Thursday, May 3, 2012. Thursday's Kitchen Cupboard 05/03/12. Haven't had much to post lately and very little time. Have been doing well with my personal challenge on the cost of meals but am getting in a rut so not much to share in the way of new recipes and menus. Made a big batch of breakfast sausage. 3 T Kosher Salt.

Growing and Cooking: February 2012
http://wildernessgrowingandcooking.blogspot.com/2012_02_01_archive.html
Monday, February 27, 2012. This week still have nothing to report for a harvest but do have some basil that could be picked in the Aero garden and have 4 buds on the tomato plant that is growing in it. Peppers are slow but growing. Will plant it completely different this summer for hopefully a winter harvest of tomatoes and peppers. Did finally get a change to work on the layout of the Kitchen Garden here next to the house. I usually put my fine seed in here but am changing things this year. Make your ow...
