Monday, July 21, 2008. We stayed in Moyo on the way into Sudan and then again on the way home from Sudan. Click here. Wudu was our home for many days in Sudan. From here we did ministry at many schools and marketplaces. It is also here that we fell in love with our new Sudan family! We spent a few nights at the compound in Liwolo and did marketplace outreach and many school visits. We also got to spend some time sharing with a teachers training college. Click here. On 22 March, a body of Egyptian cavalry encountered a force of mounted Dervishes at Abadar, who were advancing in considerable numbers down the river, which was thickly wooded. The outposts of Captain Baring's squadron were driven in, and Captain Persse was ordered to clear the bush.
