You can choose the type of stone you would like it in, size, theme and also your price range. I would guide you as to which was the most suitable stone for outdoor or an indoor sculpture. I have been very conscious of the waste involved in the process of stone carving, the taking away in order to find the form within. So recently I have started to make jewellery and hangings from the off-cuts. The hangings in alabaster are particularly attractive because of the stone’s translucency. Hanging them in a tree or in a window allows the light to show off the stone’s beautiful veins you would not ordinarily see.
