Friday 6 May 2011. Grebe's nest in reeds on Godfrey's pond 6 May '11. A photo by Roger Bunting. Walked to town and back (cat food) via pond and canal, finally saw the grebes' nest I knew was there. A narrowboat (Aisling Gheal) was approaching Morse so I stopped to snap it. I'm afraid that I put the willies up 'em with my tale of NB Charlotte sticking in Stret lock (the next they'd meet). The BBC films from the 70s and 80s that were a real bargain. I remember seeing a lot of them on TV at the time - I especially remember getting up early on Sunday mornings to watch the Henry IV plays - but I've gone back and watched some of them again and plan to get through the whole lot eventually.
