It's not uncommon for a weather system to move in while I'm working, bringing clouds and wind and rain, and completely changing my original plans for the artwork. Tuesday, February 18, 2014. A decade of pattern samples: quilt part 2. Vind ik echt geweldig. I just finished cutting the fabric into squares. It's nice to see my taste in fabric from the years 2000-2013 in a mood board like this. Apparently, my brother and I both like blue-and-white flowers, and I choose pink and purple for my eldest daughter. And, I still have to include something from my youngest daughter :-). Thursday, April 12, 2012. Nine leaf and lace squares. Nine squares finished, and all I have to do now is sew them together and think about some type of crocheted border :-). Lately, I'm seeing this type of leaf & lace pattern a lot in sweaters and vests. It's not something I would wear myself, but it's definitely an interesting trend. Monday, January 13, 2014. A yellow baby blanket. Er is alweer een jaar voorbij, ongelofelijk! Het afgelopen jaar zat voor mij vol ups en downs, en éé. N hele fijne gebeurtenis: de geboorte van mijn tweede dochter :-) Door dat alles zat ik in een soort van creatieve “writer's block”, maar gelukkig word ik weer een beetje mezelf. Tuesday, November 6, 2012. Zinnia pink socks finished. Pattern from "Originele sokken zelf breien". Finally, I managed to knit a pair of socks of (more or less) the same size:-). Here I am, wearing them on an Autumn walk, during a "hot chocolate cake" picnic. The shade of pink reminds me of the last Zinnia's from my garden, which I picked a few weeks ago.
