ECHOES OF GRACE

Thursday, July 30, 2015. I penned this poem in February as I looked from my bedroom chair to the tall winter Aspen thriving by our deck. Http:/ suesgracechoes.blogspot.com/2015/02/a-winter-aspen.html. Was that an appropriate February word? Bare and brownish-grey it was living its annual season of dormancy; it was winter-thriving. Growth and development seemed lacking, but its energy was being conserved for the beauty of the summer and fall tree it was becoming. Was sitting beside the well. As I scroll th...

ECHOES OF GRACE: May 2015

http://suesgracechoes.blogspot.com/2015_05_01_archive.html

Thursday, May 28, 2015. Evidently Elijah experienced a memory lapse. Forgotten are God’s miraculous provisions; forgotten are God’s wondrous ways; forgotten are the great victories. One person caused him to run. The roar was deafening. A cave seemed the best protection. I do Oh how often I try to shield myself, to hunt for caves when the roars roar. The bad news: the big, the hard, the fearful roars of life overwhelm the wonders, delights, and victories. And I run to a cave. An upstairs bedroom was the s...

ECHOES OF GRACE: Ponderings in the Fray

Thursday, June 25, 2015. Ponderings in the Fray. UCLA Mattel Children's Hospital. June 21, 2015. I read. I pray. I contemplate familiar truths. You knitted me together in my mothers womb. I am fearfully and wonderfully made.". Ezra's genetics are part of your loving craftsmanship. Ezra's creation are leading many around the world to new arenas of trust, prayers proliferating. Now they were bringing even infants to him . Let the children come to me,". Luke 18:15-17, ESV. Barb reminded me of the wisdom of ...

ECHOES OF GRACE: April 2015

http://suesgracechoes.blogspot.com/2015_04_01_archive.html

Thursday, April 30, 2015. What do you do? What do you do? I'm thinking about this question a lot these days. My high school reunion is coming up. It's another innocent question. Yet in its innocence, it leads down a path that may be true, but also is not the real answer . at least not the answer I want people to know . or is it? I'm a writer. True. I'm adjunct faculty with the TrueFaced ministry. True. I'm on staff with The Navigators. True. But first, a bit of background. If they had been asked, what do...

ECHOES OF GRACE: Ezra's Surgery Updates - 3

http://suesgracechoes.blogspot.com/2015/07/ezras-surgery-updates-3.html

Tuesday, July 14, 2015. Ezra's Surgery Updates - 3. When each of Jeff and Aubrey's children were born, they chose a hymn for them that they often sing to them as they put them to bed. For Ezra it is O Love That Will Not Let Me Go. Can you read the words to the third verse? O joy that seekest me through pain,. I cannot close my heart to thee. I trace the rainbow through the rain,. And feel the promise is not vain,. That morn shall tearless be. There is GOOD news and there is DISAPPOINTING news.

8230; because we are loved. August 15, 2015. Posted by agapesantos under Blogroll. I thought about Mary and how God had perfectly orchestrated everything about her situation. If anyone wasn’t cooperating with His plan, it didn’t matter- he was able to bring to pass exactly what He wanted to do. God prepared the way by placing Mary in the right family, she was betrothed to the right man (who was open to hearing a word from God! How did Mary know to go see her relative, Elizabeth? Usually it is less, though in the far north in deep winter, it might last all day. It is that period just after sunrise, or, more usually, just before sunset when the light is warm and soft and shadows are long and gentle. Here is why I hesitate to share what I have seen: Baltimore burns, another young black man is dead, wars rage, a marriage is endi...

Pilgrims at Oak Ridge: Names.

http://jandatell.blogspot.com/2015/06/names.html

Friday, June 05, 2015. Although there are lots of superficial reasons I chose my children's names - that I liked how they sounded, that they weren't too popular, I also chose their names based on what they meant. Judah means "praise". Naomi means "pleasant". And Ezra means "God is our help.". And I can say each of my children's name like a prayer. Judah . I will praise him. Naomi . He has brought us to pleasant places. Ezra God is our help. Love you, mom. Subscribe to: Post Comments (Atom).

Good Food & Wine For My Family

Good Food and Wine For My Family. Friday, November 19, 2010. Pumpkin for the Holidays! One of my family's favorites anytime. Not just fall. So, how do you get fresh pumpkin for recipes? Wrap the cookie sheet in foil with the shiny side toward the outside where it can be against the pumpkins. Add a teaspoon of cooking oil to the spot you plan to place your pumpkin on the foil wrapped cookie sheet. Snap the stem off of the top and put steam holes near where the stem had been. When the pumpkin is cool, cut ...
