http://opensocio.blogspot.com/2009_09_01_archive.html
The open source sociology project (OSS). This will be the beginning of a growing network of sociology, anthropology students, teachers and thinkers. The intent is to decentralize academia and the professional circles, and bring the knowledge to everyone. The "open source" source philosophy is embodied here. As the world changes and becomes decentralized and "open," so too should its thinkers, philosophers and social scientists! Sunday, September 20, 2009. Emergent Civilization: is a new society possible?

My Life Has Gone to the Dogs: Twitter and Business
http://rainielu.blogspot.com/2009/04/twitter-and-business.html
Wednesday, April 1, 2009. It seems to me that everybody's a social media expert these days. It's weird. There are millions of people living their lives without "new media". I go to meetings with highly educated professionals who are clueless about blogging, Facebook, and most of all, Twitter. I'm disturbed by all of the articles written to help businesses learn how to use social media for advertising, recruiting, and customer service because I think they miss the point. Friday, December 5, 2008. Okay, I'm a little stressed about this unemployed business. I am taking the suggestions of one really smart lady. So, I thought I'd blog as a diversion. But then I couldn't really think of anything interesting to blog about. So then I went to look up my old blog on Xanga. Because someone on Twitter. I've allowed blogging and housekeeping to be my "discipline free" zones, apparently. Subscribe to: Post Comments (Atom). My Life Has Gone to the Dogs. Great Fishing at a Great Park!

Monday, March 9, 2009. The Stimulus Package and Me. Thanks to the stimulus package, there is room in the budget to extend my contract and give me more work hours! With the extra money, I should be able to afford subsidized COBRA payments! In the meantime, I am still offering web presence development. To small businesses. I'm also venturing in another direction. I've decided that I am, by my very nature, a life coach. I recently took a Strengths Finder. To prepare for working with clients, I've purchased ...

Wednesday, August 27, 2008. Nostalgia - The Bad, Part II. But recruiters are slick, you know? I got kick ass scores on their tests; I could choose any profession I wanted, almost. So I picked pharmacy technician, I think because some girl I knew in school and could never stand was going to be a pharmacist. How's THAT for a way to choose a career path? I'd be working in a pharmacy and she'd still be in her second year of college. So there! But there was a hitch, you know? Oh, my man was PISSED! There was ...
