Thursday, June 28, 2007. You know you're a mommy when. 1 You just can't imagine your baby can get any cuter. We continually melt over Sara's smiles and giggles, repeating 'you are just so cute! 2 You have warm spit up running down your neck and arm, or pee on your hand, and you wipe the baby first. 3 You're sitting at a day spa having a hot stone pedicure while Nana babysits, and while it's heavenly to have time for yourself, you still can't wait to scoop up your daughter and feel her cheek against yours.

Monday, October 29, 2007. Yesterday Sara's aunt and I introduced her to the art of pumpkin carving - her role was to help scoop out the pumpkin guts! One is the pumpkin off our vine, which is tall and skinny. kind of like Bert, so it only seemed fitting to do a Bert and Ernie theme for our babe's first Halloween. Sara cautiously leaned in to touch the smooth, cold pumpkin that would become Ernie. What is this wet slimy stuff in my hands? I added some of my paints to make the characters more 'obvious'.

Monday, April 21, 2008. I was only late with the post, not the party. Finally, some pictures from her birthday party on April 12. She was a little shy at first with so many people in the house, but then she relaxed and had a great time. She didn't even fuss at the paparazzi cupcake on the highchair tray moment, she even laughed and clapped her hands while we all sang happy birthday! Sunday, May 11, 2008. This weekend was full, full. not of errands and chores, but happy moments, smiles, and cuddles. First I got my hair cut (a lot). and look, it's straight! Then I picked up this vintage sewing box at a garage sale for $4 , which is now a lovely new home for. Organizing all of my paints! It's such a good, inspirational read for anyone who appreciates and loves good food. And for Mother's Day we had brunch out at one of my favourite local spots. The transformation always astounds me.

Wednesday, May 28, 2008. Sunday afternoon at the pond. Last Sunday we met the fam at beautiful, historic Main St. Unionville and took Sara for a walk at Toogood pond.
