APPLE, WORD, KISS: November Grief
http://applewordkiss.blogspot.com/2013/11/november-grief.html
APPLE, WORD, KISS. The world filtered through the mind of one Katie Riegel: poet, writer, teacher, sort-of Buddhist, fan of mindfulness, animal lover, prairie girl. Saturday, November 9, 2013. This Thanksgiving- the Sunday after Thanksgiving, actually- it will have been six years since my mother died. That's what it is. This is the anniversary of the loss of my mother, her absence from this world. No wonder it hurts. And then I remember. Or I don't, but my sister reminds me, and then we both remember.

APPLE, WORD, KISS. The world filtered through the mind of one Katie Riegel: poet, writer, teacher, sort-of Buddhist, fan of mindfulness, animal lover, prairie girl. Monday, September 9, 2013. Yeah So I woke up this morning thinking, "The goal is not. The world doesn't hate us, by the way. Nope No, not ...

Monday, April 16, 2012. The Tattooed Poets Project: Ira Sukrungruang. Today's tattooed poet is Ira Sukrungruang. Before checking out his tattoo, here’s what Ira had to say about ink:. But after that one tattoo—an enormous dragon on my right calf—I’ve been getting a tattoo done every year, and I love every one of them. And I can say with certainty, she is the best. Ira shared this poem with us, which first appeared in Mead Magazine, under the title "In the Keeping of Men":. Refrigerated steaks. How th...

APPLE, WORD, KISS. The world filtered through the mind of one Katie Riegel: poet, writer, teacher, sort-of Buddhist, fan of mindfulness, animal lover, prairie girl. Wednesday, November 13, 2013. So, my dear friends, I have an announcement:. I have just published a self-help book. I wanted to say “a sort of self-help book,” but I don’t think it would fit into many other categories. Something about philosophy, perhaps? But not quite. Not really either of those. Boundless love and gratitude to all of you.
