The Collier Times: Our Trip to Michigan, Canada, and New York
http://thecolliertimes.blogspot.com/2015/08/our-trip-to-michigan-canada-and-new-york.html
Aug 11, 2015. Our Trip to Michigan, Canada, and New York. For the past couple of years, my dad has been planning a reunion and trip back east to visit our grandparents. It had been 12 years since I had seen them, and it was the first time Kody and the kids had actually met them. So we saved our money for a long time to go back east for a week and be with everyone. It was so WONDERFUL! Our plane left at 6am. That's the time to travel! No waiting, no lines. It was nice! All travelers did awesome! Playing w...

Apr 21, 2015. The House: The Good, The Great, and.The Fire. For the last few weeks I've been meaning to do a post with before and after pictures of the house and all the work Kody has done over the past year. I don't have as many pictures as I'd like, but oh well. This was the back porch last summer. This is the new back porch and side porch. These survived the fire and are still standing! This is the start of the front porch. And don't you love the wood gables up around the windows? Kody busted out an a...

May 26, 2014. Well, planting season is upon us. Kody started some starts a few weeks ago and we've kept them in the basement of the farm house under a heat lamp. But now it's warm enough for them to be outside in the greenhouses! We spent lots of hours on the big greenhouse making the raised rows, laying the drip tape and plastic, and transplanting. There were lots of helping hands. Then the next day it was time for the little greenhouse. And we have A LOT more to go :). May 18, 2014. We got the camp tra...

Aug 11, 2015. I walked into the store the other day and an elderly gentleman says to me, Is it hot out there? I smiled and said Yes, it is! He then says to me in his lovely Midwest accent, Yeah, its always humm-ed in Missoura. I smiled again because I had no idea what he was talking about because I didnt know what the word humm-ed meant. As I thought about it a few minutes later, I realized he was saying Its always hUmid in Missouri! Gotta love the accents! Its sorta cute :). Moving boxes is exhausting.

May 24, 2015. Here's a few quoteable quotes and cute things the kids have said lately:. Mom: "Kosette, close the fridge and move away please". Kosette: "No. I'ne da boss of da fidge.". Kosette comes to lay in our bed for a few minutes then rolls out of the bed and says "Dis is amazing! Kayda and Kamille were learning about Michelangelo and the Sistine Chapel in their National Geographic class. Kayda comes home and the conversation goes like this:. Me: You mean, Michelangelo? Me: The statue of David?

Jan 30, 2015. It'll be fun to celebrate my birthday in a week! Here's a picture of what everyone drew. Thanks to our own little sledding hill that's out in the back field, the kids have enjoyed LOTS of tubing time! Especially when the weather has been BEAUTIFUL! This picture makes it seem a little cloudy, and it was for just a moment. But the week turned out to be gorgeous with lots of sun! I've been walking at least 2 miles 6 days a week. So wonderful to get out! She said she needed a Band-Aid. My pregn...
