Summer Hess writes about travel, arts and culture, community activation, outdoor recreation, and sustainability. She has taught writing in the Department of English and the Writers’ Center at Eastern Washington University and served as an Engaged Faculty Scholar through the Office of Community Engagement (2014-16). She also studied as a Fulbright Fellow at the Gustavo Le Paige Museum of Archaeology (2011) and earned her MFA from Eastern Washington University literary nonfiction (2012).
