http://brightsidereading.blogspot.com/2009/08/bad-moon-rising.html
Reading on the Bright Side. Book reviews, recommendations, musings, and maybe a little discussion. Wednesday, August 5, 2009. My rating: 3 of 5 stars. No matter what the Dark-Hunter series continues to entertain and inspire, I'm just disappointed that I have to wait a while for another book to come out. :). View all my reviews. Reading on the Bright Side: December 2008

Reading on the Bright Side. Book reviews, recommendations, musings, and maybe a little discussion. Friday, December 19, 2008. St Martin’s Press. Did an excellent job marketing Sherrilyn Kenyon’s book Acheron. Acheron intrigued me in that book so I snatched up his book as soon as I saw it on the New Releases shelf at work. Acheron is the end of the first part of the Dark-Hunter series according to the author. It’s an interesting read, thoroughly engaging, longtime fans get to see familiar charac...If you&...

Reading on the Bright Side: March 2009
http://brightsidereading.blogspot.com/2009_03_01_archive.html
Reading on the Bright Side. Book reviews, recommendations, musings, and maybe a little discussion. Thursday, March 26, 2009. I just finished reading the Dark-Hunter series by Sherrilyn Kenyon and I have to say I absolutely love it. I've become a huge fan of her work since stumbling into this series. Most of the series I read in order, but my first foray was Dream-Chaser, the second of the Dream-Hunter sub-series. It just worked out that my last book would be out of that sub-series as well. Confessions of...

In this monthly feature, I pick my favorite storytime reads of the month one from my baby storytime, one from toddler storytime, and one from preschool storytime. Oh, I’ve been so behind on blogging lately. Nothing shows that more than this “monthly” feature, which I haven’t updated in almost a year! Also, check out their 2014. Are three I can think o...

The Book Kat: Shadow Scale - by Rachel Hartman
http://bookkat.blogspot.com/2015/06/shadow-scale-by-rachel-hartman.html
Friday, June 26, 2015. Shadow Scale - by Rachel Hartman. Is the sequel to Seraphina. And I gather that quite a few people didn't enjoy waiting so long for the sequel. Fortunately I didn't discover Seraphina. Until the second book had already been release, but I still had trouble waiting a few weeks on the library hold list! Will be my fifth book for the summer reading program from summerreadingonline.blogspot.com. And I am using it for the fantasy book challenge. Subscribe to: Post Comments (Atom). I did...

Reading on the Bright Side: October 2014
http://brightsidereading.blogspot.com/2014_10_01_archive.html
Reading on the Bright Side. Book reviews, recommendations, musings, and maybe a little discussion. Sunday, October 12, 2014. SJ's favorite book so far. Yes, I realize she's not even a year old yet, but it's still easy to see which books she prefers over others. For example, her least favorite book so far has been I'll Love You Forever. By Robert Munsch and Shelia McGraw. She won't let me finish it. By the time I reach the boy's teenage years she tries to close the book. The Peter Rabbit Touch and Feel.

View all my reviews. Labels: author: Neil Gaiman. My rating: 3 of 5 stars. What I enjoyed in this book was Fang and Aimee's devotion to each other and their loyalty to their families. The Book Kat: Bad Feminist - by Roxane Gay
http://bookkat.blogspot.com/2015/07/bad-feminist-by-roxane-gay.html
Sunday, July 12, 2015. Bad Feminist - by Roxane Gay. Overall though, Roxane Gay has put together a very enjoyable collection of essays. Bad Feminist. Is a book of essays, but is also an equal mix of memoir, humor, social commentary, and critical analysis. While I, personally, could do without the critical analysis, I loved everything else about this book. Bad Feminist. Is a great read for anyone who has any interest in feminism, especially if they don't want to be called a feminist. I really liked it!
