Country Cars, Trucks, and Tractors: December 2013
http://countrycarstrucksandtractors.blogspot.com/2013_12_01_archive.html
Country Cars, Trucks, and Tractors. Relics and restorations from the farms, fields, and boulevards or along country roads. Tuesday, December 31, 2013. The 1967 Pontiac GTO. Those fond of Pontiacs likely debate if the 1967 GTO presents the most attractive styling of this model. I'm not a fan of muscle cars in the main, but I do take a second look when a "Goat" comes into view. The 1967-1969 Plymouth Barracudas present some similarities, grill-wise. Wonder if such is a coincidence? A Feel Good Novel.

Livestock and Landscapes: Cherry Plum
http://livestockandlandscapes.blogspot.com/2015/05/cherry-plum.html
Rural scenes captured across the countryside and along country roads. Wednesday, May 6, 2015. The Cherry Plum tree in our backyard. The one my wife shook too hard while harvesting its bumper crop last year. It cracked open but a wire, a deck screw, and a few tie-down straps, and it came back this spring with hope and renewal. Along Cotton Road: From the Online Book Club: A review
http://alongcottonroad.blogspot.com/2015/04/from-online-book-club-review.html
Short Stories, Essays, and Items of a Rural Nature found Along Country Roads. Friday, April 3, 2015. From the Online Book Club: A review. One gripe I had with this book is the meandering plot. I am normally a fast reader, but this book took me an unusually long time to finish. Some readers may not mind this, as some of the side stories and passages are absolute gems. The dialogue is easy to understand, even with the heavy use of rural Pennsylvania dialect. I rate this book 3 out of 4 stars. James (Jim) C...

Along Cotton Road: May 2015
http://alongcottonroad.blogspot.com/2015_05_01_archive.html
Short Stories, Essays, and Items of a Rural Nature found Along Country Roads. Wednesday, May 6, 2015. Response to Boys as Reluctant Readers. As I scan YA titles and plot blurbs, I find it striking the dominant themes are Alcoholism in the family, Abuse, Addiction, Abduction, and peer Approval, and those are just the "A's." Why would any boy spend time with some female protagonist agonizing over her miseries in such situations? Boys don't want to read about such. I know. I raised four. A Feel Good Novel.

Livestock and Landscapes: Appaloosa Eyeball
http://livestockandlandscapes.blogspot.com/2015/06/appaloosa-eyeball.html
Rural scenes captured across the countryside and along country roads. Wednesday, June 10, 2015. Can't decide if the glint in this fine horse's eye says "Serenity" or "Mischief". It appears it's amused at something, possibly the photographer. Subscribe to: Post Comments (Atom).
