Saturday, October 26, 2013. Lotts Wood Racing 19 Oct. LOTTS WOOD WELCOMES BACK GO-RIDE RACING. October saw the very welcome return of racing to Lotts Wood organised jointly by Summit MTB and Palmer Park Velo. Eighty-eight young riders from across the region turned out to ride a shortened course for the Under 6 and Under 8s and the full course for the older riders, on what turned out to be a much dryer day than expected! In what was both their first race on the rooty and hilly Lotts course. Under 10 boys ...

Blog: The Dunwich Dynamo - Stephen's experience
http://blog.summitmtb.co.uk/2012/07/dunwich-dynamo-200k-night-road-ride.html
Wednesday, July 4, 2012. The Dunwich Dynamo - Stephen's experience. Dunwich Dynamo - Hackney to Dunwich was just amazing. What really made this event is - it is Free - you just turn up. Also it had stopped raining in this wettest June on record and there was a 10 mph tail wind helping you along. I rode with CTC friends both have done the French 'PBP' and think nothing of doing 400K, so I was pleased I managed to stay with them all the way. What Bike to use? Approaching the end and seeing the. Really glad...

Blog: Forest of Dean Awayday experience
http://blog.summitmtb.co.uk/2012/08/forest-of-dean-awayday.html
Wednesday, August 8, 2012. Forest of Dean Awayday experience. A small group of us headed down to the Forest of Dean on Sunday to try out the Verderer's trail. Everything starts from the cycle centre car park, which is easy to get to and the trails are clearly marked so there's no need for a map or gpx. The centre was very busy when we arrived but as there are three distinct activities here we were alone on the trail most of the time. The trail is only 7 miles long so it's short but boy is it lots of fun!

Sunday, July 8, 2012. Sixty-Five raises £727 for the Air Ambulance. The Club's Summit Sixty-Five event last month. Raised £727 for the Thames Valley and Chiltern Air Ambulance Trust. This is the first time that the event has been linked with a charity and although attendance undoubtedly suffered from the terrible weather we have been having this year over 160 riders took part and made it a success. We'll be back next year, supporting charity again and hopefully blessed with better weather. 23rd July 2013...

Monday, April 22, 2013. Unintentional outcome of being knocked off my bike. 23rd July 2013 was a beautiful sunny Monday morning and after spending the day with my family in. The park for my daughters first birthday I was in a good mood to say the least. BLLLAMAMMMMM –. Car pulls out of a side road and it all changes. After picking myself up off the road and giving my bike the once over it has become clear that. Underneath the cover of adrenaline something is not quite right. A little while longer. This Y...

http://blog.summitmtb.co.uk/2015/01/captains-blogjanuary-club-ride-review.html
Monday, January 12, 2015. Captain's Blog/January Club Ride Review. I can't recommend Swinley highly enough, if you've not been, its worth a visit. It's only about 45-60 minutes journey for me (that's from Berkhamsted), you might be even closer. It has a variety of reasonably weatherproof, way-marked trails that even beginners can really enjoy. There is a cafe and children's play area too, if you need to amuse the youngsters! Just let me know. See you on the trails, Ian. Subscribe to: Post Comments (Atom).
