The Comings and Goings of the Sumner Family. Monday, 26 December 2016. This year, SE as been going to town on baking. Inspired by Poppy, she did some dachshunds. We've been eating the finished products pretty much all Christmas holiday. She also went over to a friend's house and made home-made marshmallows. They are so yummy and squishy! She even made me a batch of traditional butter shortbread as my Christmas present. That gal loves to bake! No wonder she wants to own a bakery when she grows up).

The Comings and Goings of the Sumner Family. Monday, 19 September 2016. This morning, I got promoted from parent volunteer to head coach of the cross country team. We had our first meet this afternoon - the kids did well. JD was huffin and puffin but he had fun and enjoyed himself (and we finished 10 minutes before it started to rain). Posted by Sumner Family. The Comings and Goings of the Sumner Family. Wednesday, 22 June 2016. Year End Music Concert. JD had his year end music concert this week. SE was all about the visit to Yorkson (since she'll be there in a few short months). JD was in the choir (lots of the guys from the Pirates musical joined in for this time around). The Comings and Goings of the Sumner Family. Sunday, 25 December 2016. We had a few fun Christmas outings on the go this December. Meg went with some friends to a Vancouver symphony Christmas concert. We also went to the Stanley Theatre for an amazing production of Mary Poppins. The Comings and Goings of the Sumner Family. Monday, 2 January 2017. Following Christmas, the Halls came back for a few days and then Grandpa and Grandma came to town. The boys were given awesome seats to a Canucks game one night. And the girls went to the movies to see SING. The next night, we all piled into the mondo Rondo and made the trek to North Van to see the Capillano Suspension Bridge all lit up for Christmas. There are a LOT of lights and it's pretty cool! And found some friends.

Pondering along the journey. Saturday, June 19, 2010. Strawberry season is always a sign that summer has truly arrived. I headed out this morning to a local farm (where I worked for a summer while in university, so I'm a loyal customer now) and picked 13 lbs of strawberries! 1 baked pie crust http:/ www.marthastewart.com/recipe/basic-pie-dough. Combine 3/4 cup sugar and 3 heaping tablespoons of cornstarch in a pan on the stove. Turn the heat on low and gradually add 1 cup of water and 1 tsp vanilla.

I stayed with my parents who were already there for vacation. It was a great holiday - a mixture of warmth and sun, brilliant blue skies, lush green palm trees and lawns, yummy Mexican food and incredible shopping. Pondering along the journey. Sunday, July 25, 2010. Every evening at 5pm we had a small worship service. The leader gave us a quote from Henry Nouwen's book: "The Return of the Prodigal." This passage accurately sums up what I believe was God's heart for me this weekend. My purpose of the retreat was to listen to God's heartbeat. Out of the listening comes the action. Pondering along the journey. Tuesday, February 9, 2010. What an amazing couple of days! I found out yesterday that my little niece Emily Hope Quinn arrived! I was so relieved to hear that the labour and delivery went smoothly considering the hospital was just over a two hour drive away from home. Danielle and Sterling made it safely to the hospital and the labour was shorter than Danielle expected! Praise God Emily is healthy and well. Thanks be to God for His wonderful gift!
