Saturday, May 29, 2010. Due to the wonderful Neil Sperry class I took in January (a Christmas gift from DH), my focus has all been on landscaping. So when DH asked what I might want for Mother's day, I immediately said TREES! On Mother's Day we planted three of the trees - digging those holes isn't easy! How blessed I am to have 5 wonderful sisters and a long weekend to enjoy them! This year we stayed at a wonderful B&B really old log cabin in Fredericksburg, Texas. Wednesday, November 19, 2008. When we were little girls, during the school year Mom would come to each of our bedrooms, open the door and turn on the overhead light to wake us. Many mornings, she'd be humming or singing a song. When I reached the grumpy teenage years, I would grumble and think, "MOM! It's too early to be that cheerful! Saturday, November 6, 2010. Our family picnic went very well. There was lots of talking . eating . laughing . eating . singing . eating and sitting around the fire . eating. It was great to visit with loved ones, young and not as young. Ginger, Amanda and Bailey. It was great to sing with Uncle Junior playing the guitar. And I loved singing with Alice when we didn't want anyone to listen. We just love to sing together. Jeanie's soup was fabulous. There was a little fishing. That's one happy fisherman!

Monday, July 21, 2008. Well, I've been working hard for days on a new project: miniature doll-house rugs. I know that's quite a surprise because I don't even own a dollhouse. Although it may seem I've taken a big left turn, the little rugs make perfect sense to me. I love making rugs - the big kind - and I'm really lovin' my new embroidery machine.
