Twins Chatter: Target Field Edition: Joe Mauer: ESPN Homecoming with Rick Reilly

Friday, January 29, 2010. Joe Mauer: ESPN Homecoming with Rick Reilly. It's going to take me a while to get back into the swing of things with this blogging business, so please bear with me if these start off rather disjointed and difficult to read. Of ESPN's "Homecoming" with Rick Reilly, featuring the Hometown Hero himself, Joe Mauer. Despite the length (over 3 hours in bleacher seating you couldn't leave) the event was an enjoyable one. Here are a few memorable moments:. I've always thought Rick Reill...

Twins Chatter: Target Field Edition: Live from Fort Myers: Day 1
http://twinschatter.blogspot.com/2010/03/live-from-fort-myers-day-1.html
Thursday, March 11, 2010. Live from Fort Myers: Day 1. As I mentioned, I'm going to be only sporadically posting on Twins Chatter this season (which is fine, we don't get many hits these days anyway). I'm still working on updating that logo (I promise to have it done before Target Field opens though). Anyway, I took a somewhat impromptu trip down to Fort Myers this week to catch a couple of Twins spring training games, and caught most of Thursday's 8-3 win over the Orioles. Were comin, were comin! Great ...

Twins Chatter: Target Field Edition: The O-Dog's potential defensive turnaround
http://twinschatter.blogspot.com/2010/02/o-dogs-potential-defensive-turnaround.html
Sunday, February 07, 2010. The O-Dog's potential defensive turnaround. While many Twins blogs have done an excellent job breaking down the move (I happen to like Nick's analysis. Myself) I thought I'd share with you a little tidbit from Keith Law at ESPN.com. The article. Is behind the Insider paywall, but here's the paragraph I found the most interesting:. Perhaps a chance of scenery will in fact help the O-Dog rediscover his lost defensive prowess - something to watch for as the 2010 season gets closer.

Wednesday, January 27, 2010. Coming Soon: An all-new era of Twins Chatter. Hello super faithful readers! I know it has been a long, long time since Twins Chatter existed in any real form (pretty much since 2004-05), but I never really gave up the idea that I would start it back up. Who knows what will happen, but it should be fun! Subscribe to: Post Comments (Atom). Shut Up, Tim McCarver! Stick and Ball Guy. Warning Track Power (Brad Zellar). Will Young's Twins Page.

Wednesday, August 31, 2005. All Hit, No Run. 1 List of Twins that didn't get a hit today:. List of Twins who scored today:. There's a Yakov Smirnof joke in there somewhere. 1a Also, The innings in which the Twins did not have a hit:. 2 To keep the lists short, here are the players and coaches who do not get a share of the goat of the day:. 2a Jason Bartlett: not once did he produce an out when there was a runner on base (including himself). His fielding of late even sounds slick. 3 I think the baseball p...

Thursday, September 29, 2005. 1 This is what John McCain, a US Senator, a former Presidential candidate with future aspirations for that office, said in actual Senate hearings to Donald Fehr (MLBPA union head):. Don't you get it that this is an issue of such transcendant importance. That you should have acted months ago? Now, Fehr had nothing to do with levees in Louisiana, emergency preparedness, farming subsidies, or bridges in Alaska, so it's pretty clear that the issue is: steroids. 1c If I still wer...

Wednesday, June 29, 2005. Goat of the Day: 6/29/05. For more runs in the first inning. He's a good pitcher, but he really needs to show it before he digs his own hole. I know Goober gave Radke the G-G.O.D. earlier this season for worse offenses and that one run of support is little to work with, but the top of the first just made the game stink. Posted by amr at 6/29/2005 03:00:00 PM. A Win is a Win. I guess Silva was off, threw only 62 pitches in 5 IP and then TJ Mulholland "blew" a "save" in the 6th.

Friday, July 29, 2005. I'm not sure if Wade Miller or Bronson Arroyo is pitching for Boston tonight, but I'm pretty sure that this guy was a pot dealer at my college. Posted by amr at 7/29/2005 03:35:00 PM. Thursday, July 28, 2005. Last night, when the rain started coming down, it was just so cool. I was really hoping it would start splashing off the players' shoulders and creat full-body halos like rain does in Anime. This is the best pic I could find. Monday, March 27, 2006. 1 Huge women's basketball game tonight. UNC vs Tennessee. To decide once and for all who's going to come up short against Maryland on Sunday. The most consistent women's team of the last 2 decades against this year's best team and best player. 2 I went to Friday night's Men's NCAA tournament games with some folks from work. I decided that I wanted Villanova to win because their pep band played the Minnesota Rouser. The Gators had the best mascot, so good for them, too. 2a Would be...
