The long road to China. Janet needed to prove her United States naturalization paperwork was authentic. Unfortunately she was naturalized before the age of computer records. And it took four months for someone to find her file in Nebraska. All we imagine is a big cavernous room filled with storage boxes and files. Finally in at the end of August 2007 we submitted our paperwork to China. And so the wait begins. File first I-600A – 4.25.07. Approved I-600A. I-171H is issued – 6.13.07. What is an I-600A?

Our first and most memorable hike with her was when she walked about 10 yards before calling it quits at the age of three. This weekend, we took a path along the LMU “bluff.”. As they walked, it struck me as to how much she’s grown. When we got to the top of the trail, we saw all the development that overtaken the area – it was a wetlands area.

One Good Fortune Cookie. Monday, June 3, 2013. Sunday Snapshot {super girl}. We had a very busy weekend with Super Girl. We are trying to do as much as we can with our girlie before baby Popo arrives in July. On Saturday, we headed up to Bucknell University to see the Erth's Dinosaur Petting Zoo (if you've never seen this, I would highly recommend it, incredibly realistic). While it was very hot, we still really enjoyed the show and spending time with Mom (grandma). Cadie and Mom, watching the show.

Because Cadie didn't come to us in the traditional way, but through adoption, we went through some tough transitions with our little one. He can't stand to be too far from his big sister and he doesn't have to miss anything that's going on around our house! He's got it made in the shade.

One Good Fortune Cookie. Monday, September 24, 2012. Sunday Snapshot {mid-autumn moon festival}. To celebrate the Mid-Autumn Moon Festival this year, we headed to NYC with some friends to check out some of the festivities in Chinatown. We are so glad we went. The weather was beautiful and there was A LOT going on in the city! All of which Cadie thoroughly enjoyed. We attempted to watch the traditional puppet show twice, but she said it was "too loud and 'cary! A very old Lion Dancers costume (MOCA).
