Roche Fleurie Garden: May 2015
http://rochefleuriegarden.blogspot.com/2015_05_01_archive.html
Diary of a Frugal Gardener. F du j.- July. Fleurs du jour - June. Thursday, May 28, 2015. Unwlecome in the Cold Frame. In our climate, cold frames are useful, but not as much as they are in places with milder climates. If they are in the sun, you cannot leave plants in them in winter, because temperatures in the frames can fluctuate enormously. They stay buried in ice and snow for most of the winter. However they are especially handy in spring. Links to this post. Sunday, May 24, 2015. Links to this post.

Roche Fleurie Garden: April 2015
http://rochefleuriegarden.blogspot.com/2015_04_01_archive.html
Diary of a Frugal Gardener. F du j.- July. Fleurs du jour - June. Friday, April 24, 2015. Ten days ago we were under snow. Now many of the flowering plants that bloggers from warmer climates have been describing in the last month have rushed into bloom here too. However, if blooms are important markers of the changing seasons, here and at this time of the year, they are not the most obvious. Links to this post. Thursday, April 16, 2015. Roche Fleurie Garden: The In & Out Game
http://rochefleuriegarden.blogspot.com/2015/06/the-in-out-game.html
Diary of a Frugal Gardener. F du j.- July. Fleurs du jour - June. Wednesday, June 24, 2015. The In and Out Game. A billion buttercups eager to leap the fence and get into the garden. Some of the weeds that get to seed themselves in the garden are sometimes welcome, for instance this OxEye Daisy (Chrysanthemum leucanthemum). When a plant decides, like this one, to grow just in the perfect spot, it is difficult to get rid of it, even if there are a million of the very same plant just outside the fence.
Further down the garden path | The Dirt Diaries
http://www.thedirtdiaries.com/2012/08/further-down-garden-path.html
30 years in the garden and still scratching the surface. Sunday, August 26, 2012. Further down the garden path. A couple of days ago a Dirt Diaries reader visited my posting Leading You Down the Garden Path and commented that my new trail would look fabulous once finished. That post was written on March 13th. It occurred to me that between gardening, writing, golfing, traveling, entertaining guests and demolishing the kitchen I hadn't updated the progress of the project since then. He used 6" by 6" press...

Battles against nature in a small town garden. Tuesday, 7 May 2013. Tough plants from Yorkshire. Plants bought this weekend: 24. (This included a tray of 12 annuals so it's not as bad as it sounds). This Saturday, I visited Dark Star Plants. In North Yorkshire during a visit to my parents. I was prompted to visit by an article in The English Garden Magazine. Dark Star Plants have created their nursery within the old walled garden of Rounton Grange. 8 May 2013 at 09:32. 8 May 2013 at 21:25. Dark Star are ...

Licencetokillslugs: August 2012
http://licencetokillslugs.blogspot.com/2012_08_01_archive.html
Battles against nature in a small town garden. Monday, 27 August 2012. Coffee outlawed as slug deterrent. Brussels politicians must wake up to this kind of thing every morning. Dr Andrew Halstead, principle plant scientist at the RHS has warned that gardeners using coffee grounds as slug repellent could risk heavy fines - although the chances of prosecution, he suspects, are remote. Wednesday, 15 August 2012. Plants bought: 0 (wrong time of year I guess). Gardening magazines purchased: 1. Apparently a wa...

Licencetokillslugs: February 2013
http://licencetokillslugs.blogspot.com/2013_02_01_archive.html
Battles against nature in a small town garden. Tuesday, 19 February 2013. RHS London Plant and Design Show. Note to Helene from Graphicality - you NEED irises! Vast tables of spring bulbs lifted everyone's hearts out of the frosty morning. Hellebores gave off a radiant but delicate glow. If he is seen at shows. I had to take photos with my mobile instead. Slugs - or rather those who warrior against them were also represented. I bought three of these anti-slug rings. Sunday, 17 February 2013. CAT) and edi...

Observations from a Maine gardener. History of the Garden. A Sunny Garden: GBBD, July 2015. July 18, 2015. I am very late with my bloom day post this month (the consequence of a busy week), but I certainly don’t want to skip the best month of the season in my garden. So here’s my report on the state of my garden this month better late than never. There are also pastels in the fence border, where tradescantia blooms with hardy geraniums, and clematis ‘Comtesse de Bouchaud’ flowers on the fence. It is in t...

Strings Of Life
This blog has moved. Nov 5, 2012. Thanks for your visit. This blog has moved over here. Why do people read bullshit? Aug 15, 2010. While browsing through newspapers and literary websites, I often find crappy books such as, '5 point someone'. Etc etc. in the bestsellers list. Which implies that most of the people are reading crappy stuff. And why not? These books are easy to read, spicy, unrealistic and full of fantasies. What does a reader get out of all this? The kind of world we live in? Feb 6, 2010.

MIE, M.I.Mar.E., C.Eng. I walk the maze of moments. But everywhere I turn to. Begins a new beginning. But never finds a finish. I walk to the horizon. And there I find another. It all seems so surprising. And then I find that I know. You go there you're gone forever. I go there I'll lose my way. If we stay here we're not together. The moon upon the ocean. Is swept around in motion. But without ever knowing. The reason for its flowing. In motion on the ocean. The moon still keeps on moving.
