Saturday, September 26, 2009. A little too close to home. Recently the backside of Sunset burned and thankfully the fire department and CAL fire did a wonderful job getting it put out very quickly before any structures burned. LA County Fair 09. The fires have been awful here in So Cal but have made for some beautiful sunsets! Memorial Day Family BBQ. Ok, its been a while again, but Derek got us (ME! Saturday, December 20, 2008. Not many pictures from Thanksgiving. It was the day that he actually got home. Jacob went right to him and was attached to his hip the ENTIRE time Derek was home. I wasn't able to attend Derek's A school graduation in San Antonio, TX but some friends of ours were. They were nice enough to take a few pictures once they got through the gate. Monday, May 19, 2008. Derek got a sunburn this weekend. Can you tell? Jacob's First Art Lesson. Kyle even brought Miss Molly over for a swim. Our car said it was 105 on Saturday and it was about 101 today. A bit hot for May if you ask me. Robertson's Transport Company Picnic. Jacob enjoyed seeing the truck that Daddy drives. Thursday, August 28, 2008. So I got a bit side tracked with other things yesterday. what I really wanted to update on was that I received my first letter from Derek. He is doing well but says he is very homesick. He misses his boy! Chief doesn't know his name yet so he said that was a good thing. Chief knows all the guys who act up already and he says his class can't seem to keep their mouths shut so it sounds like he has had to do a lot of IT. He passed his swim test! I was very happy to hear that!

Thursday, January 22, 2009. I know, I know. I'm working on it! On another note, yes, I started school and so far I'm really enjoying it. I'm just taking one class this semester to get my feet wet. I can't believe its been 5 years since I've been in school already. Time flies doesn't it? But let me tell you. he is VERY capable of throwing a full blown tantrum!
