The Bassett Family: Long weekend
http://bassettbook.blogspot.com/2015/02/long-weekend.html
Monday, February 23, 2015. Party weekend. Here are some pics from the 2nd party we went to at the same. House this weekend. The kids were excited to come as a princess and knight to their dear friend's house. Hannah is half way to 10! Note Leif with the excalibur! Laying in bed Friday night, unable to sleep after surging through Divergent (years after everyone else who was interested read it already), I heard three gunshots. Which made me feel like I was experiencing Divergent more realistically. In happ...

http://bassettbook.blogspot.com/2015/03/palm-sunday-fun.html
Sunday, March 29, 2015. University of Dallas hosts an Easter egg hunt annually, and we have attended the last 2. They are lovely! And it's a nice time to bring the kids to see where I work I'm spring. There is just something fun about searching for eggs and finding candy in them! April 9, 2015 at 7:32 PM. The Bassett Family: May 2014
http://bassettbook.blogspot.com/2014_05_01_archive.html
Friday, May 9, 2014. You just never know about a day. It all started so well with a clean house, low-key breakfast, and three friends coming over with their children. It ended with 5 internal stitches and 11 external ones at Cook's ER. Then the biggest problem became him removing his bandaids. Thankfully with some friends' advice and his exhaustion, bandaid #5 made it through nap time and all the way to the bedtime replacement. Subscribe to: Posts (Atom). One day at a time.

The Bassett Family: February 2015
http://bassettbook.blogspot.com/2015_02_01_archive.html
Saturday, February 28, 2015. Phil had a rough work week - one full day, two partial days, and two days off completely. We consoled him the 2nd full day off by sliding down our driveway on our recycling bin lids. You can see pockets of water below the ice since the first melt was underway. Leif is shocked, shocked! That Naomi is trusting enough to send her lamby down the driveway with only a blanket to keep her warm. She needs a hat at least. Monday, February 23, 2015. House this weekend. The kids wer...

The Bassett Family: A look back to several weeks in summer!
http://bassettbook.blogspot.com/2015/02/a-look-back-to-several-weeks-in-summer.html
Saturday, February 7, 2015. A look back to several weeks in summer! While Phil gallivanted around France, the kids and I hightailed it to the Woodlands. Breakfast at the Brooklyn Cafe and a quick trip to an Asian market to reminisce about whole fish (the smell) and frozen durian. Ah, memories. What's a summer day in Texas without water? Leif is ready to roll right into the duck pond. In an effort to see MORE water, we took a daytrip to Galveston and enjoy sand, seaweed (piled up behind Leif),. Fourth of ...

The Bassett Family: Locking the kids out
http://bassettbook.blogspot.com/2015/03/locking-kids-out.html
Tuesday, March 3, 2015. Locking the kids out. We are between cold snaps, and I sent the kids out in the back yard to burn off some bottled up energy. They were getting muddy boots, however, so I did what I've always threatened, and I locked them out. It went really well. They are still locked out now. Being the sage I am, I told them enthusiastically that clean up would be just as fun. They are on their first (of many) buckets of fresh water to begin the process. Your kids are so creative!

Saturday, February 21, 2015. Fun at our library. Reading with others in front of the fire. Leif had a long nap and usually wakes up from those feeling cautious. He put himself down for a nap and stayed dry for about 3 hours of sleeping! When Leif wears his helmet at odd times, I think of Benny and Joon (see second 20):. I love that boy. (and Naommi as well of course),. Great first pic of that big Library and the little Leif walking in. February 22, 2015 at 2:48 PM. Had too many M&Ms I guess.

The Bassett Family: December 2013
http://bassettbook.blogspot.com/2013_12_01_archive.html
Monday, December 9, 2013. Naomi's birthday, part deux. Naomi's birthday breakfast of choice: kolaches. In our family, there is an understood side item of donuts that goes along with this. This birthday was full of super-fun gifts from the fam and friends. Here are some favs: an owl backpack along with her owl N shirt. Lunch: Dutch french (? Fries complete with paper sack, wooden spear fork, and Dutch mayonnaise. Naomi certainly a bigger fan than Leif. Perhaps you have to be three to understand. We starte...
