So far it looks like the blocking will even out the stitches somewhat, but I'm still not sure if it's a keeper. Knittin' with a whip. Last night I finished the body of my short-sleeved cardigan. It is longer than I expected it to be, but I'm not surprised. I'm going to do the button bands before the sleeves; hopefully I will have enough yarn to lengthen them. If not, it isn't the end of the world, but it would be nice. Knittin' with a whip. So it turns out that the sewing machine works best if you have the presser foot DOWN and the feed dogs UP. Who'd've thunk it? I've been successfully sewing semi-straight lines on scrap fabric today. The zigzag stitch makes me happy. Tuesday, July 12, 2011. Shawls and Sleighs, must be Snow Soon. This was Project One for Camp Loopy. Project Two can be cast on this Friday and must be gloves or mittens with a cable. Tuesday, December 30, 2008. I forgot to put this picture in. We had a big snowstorm a week or so ago and the puppies had a ball! Phineas was past his belly but they managed. Monday, December 29, 2008. Hope everyone's Christmas was spent with people you love and everyone remained safe. I return to work New Year's Eve, should have been Jan 2 at the first minute of the day, however I offered to come in earlier. Our Christmas was spent in our new home. I have been feeling a lot of general annoyance/frustration/time-crunching lately . my mom is still in the hospital, my group has two shows on Saturday (one of which we are not very prepared for), one of my very good friends is moving away, and there's some stressy stuff happening with the day job. To make things better, I've had a nasty ache in the back of my neck for three days. Blah. Mr Fury is going to take me to get a new digital camera this weekend!
