Bits of Merth: July 2014
http://bitsofmerth.blogspot.com/2014_07_01_archive.html
Ponderations from a quilter, gardener, knitter, mom and middle aged woman with many opinions. Thursday, July 31, 2014. It's all in the editing. Kathy visited the blog last week and said she was admiring how beautiful my gardens are. I told her it's all in how you photograph it. Here's an example! Anyway,on closer inspection of this spot, you will find plenty of unwanted visitors, including some pretty aggressive weeds, as shown here. Hawkweed. Or, as I call it "velcro plant", can be worse than dandelions!

Bits of Merth: April 2015
http://bitsofmerth.blogspot.com/2015_04_01_archive.html
Ponderations from a quilter, gardener, knitter, mom and middle aged woman with many opinions. Tuesday, April 21, 2015. I was searching for craft projects I might do with Kiara when she is over. I feel it is up to me to foster her creativity. (I have my own dear grandmother to thank for teaching me all the "womanly arts"- knitting, crocheting and sewing, etc.). So in my wandering around I found this project called a " flextangle. I don't know if Kiara will be interested in it, but I just HAD to try it!

If you went on retreat, you may have seen Kathi playing with her hand dyed fabrics and somewhat random piecing of crosses. A sudden bit of inspiration struck Kathi in the middle of the night, and here is how she finished that piece. After the break, where...

Bits of Merth: Quiltaholics Anonymous
http://bitsofmerth.blogspot.com/2015/05/quiltaholics-anonymous.html
Ponderations from a quilter, gardener, knitter, mom and middle aged woman with many opinions. Friday, May 8, 2015. This morning a friend in what I call my "online guild" was saying she needs a 12 step program for quilters. In my response to her, I created what I figured the steps would be for quilters ( since, really, who WANTS to give it up? Another member of the group suggested I post it on my blog for others to enjoy- and maybe start a "meeting" for the Quiltaholics in your area. Step 10- Happily acce...
