Rainbows. Bunnies. Cupcakes.: Technicolor Sky
http://rainbowsbunniescupcakes.blogspot.com/2014/11/technicolor-sky.html
Rainbows. Bunnies. Cupcakes. Clutter. Perfectionism. ADD. Saturday, November 22, 2014. I finished a quilt top! In record time, too. The Bright Sky quilt was just the center star, but I had already started piecing the outer star- and I was just a tiny bit worried about the loudness. Of my color/fabric choices. I finished the piecing at Stitch-n-Bitch last night (YAY for Friday nights with the gals! And lemme tell you, it's not just loud, it's Technicolor. Yes, I can. Technicolor Sky, 2014. I think it turn...

Rainbows. Bunnies. Cupcakes.: Circling the Stash
http://rainbowsbunniescupcakes.blogspot.com/2015/07/circling-stash.html
Rainbows. Bunnies. Cupcakes. Clutter. Perfectionism. ADD. Sunday, July 12, 2015. They have been going round in my head recently (pun intended)- but I reserve that blog post for another day. So, with the knowledge that I've been circle crazed lately, lookee what I found! Gold bolt end tells you it's Alexander Henry. Price told me it's an older fabric. And a customer at the shop. Said, "When you find an Alexander Henry that you love, buy it! Because you won't find it again.". The teal group, left to right:.

V8888: The Charmeuse before the Storm. Oh it feels so GOOD to be back! We’ve been back from honeymoon for a while now, and since then I’ve been doing a lot of nothing, some cooking and baking, obsessively stalking ValeyofDolls. On instagram and even doing a little bit of sewing. So prepare yourselves for a wedding blog post extravaganza, but first – a little sewing that helped me keep my (in)sanity throughout the last six months. Well, five of them actually. These robes are from Vogue 8888. Vogue’s...

Spring Break Beach Vacation | Sew Not Work

Sewing projects, crafts, and other pursuits. Spring Break Beach Vacation. March 21, 2015. Middot; by sewnotwork. For my next project requiring binding. We were in Florida for a week of sun, sand, and shells. The weather was incredible and we had a wonderful time on the beach. We found lots of shells and creatures too. When we got home we made shell magnets. We used these super strong neodynium magnets. The magnets are very strong but if the smack together, they can break. Hope you all are enjoying Spring!

Five feet and under. April 15, 2012. I know I havent posted any sewing projects for a while. Returning to work continuing breastfeeding had put a dent in my sewing time. I had been sewing whenever I can though, and I had just finished the most difficult sewing project I attempted! It took me well over 6 weeks, the longest I’ve ever taken. It is meant for winter but spring had kicked in full force here in the bay area. I still need to somehow iron the darn thing. Oh wells. Hoodlet by the Sea. I feel the s...

Rainbows. Bunnies. Cupcakes.: Rockin' the quilt back
http://rainbowsbunniescupcakes.blogspot.com/2015/02/rockin-quilt-back.html
Rainbows. Bunnies. Cupcakes. Clutter. Perfectionism. ADD. Friday, February 13, 2015. Rockin' the quilt back. Just dropped Technicolor Sky. Off at the long-arm quilter. Woot. Definitely my fastest quilt finish to date: started in October and finished the top in November. Needed to piece fabrics for the back, as I was determined to make every part of this from my stash. So, in typical me. Fashion, I studied up on quilt backs. Class, taught by the wonderful Elizabeth Hartman of Oh, Fransson! Keep that creat...

Friday, March 4, 2011. Simplicty 2648 and 2247 dresses finished! It's more than two months since I last updated my blog. It's not that I didn't have anything to say, but I have been busy with my sewing and I was a bit lazy about writing. Anyway, I'm pleased to say that I've made two dresses since January and I'm ready to start on the third one. The first one I made was from Simplicty Amazing Fit pattern 2648 which I talked about in a previous blog post. Here is the finished dress:. Pattern Nostalgia and ...
