Monday, March 12, 2012. Neighborhood salon moves after 16 years. After 16 years of serving Sunnyland on James Street, the Mikols Salon is moving and will located on Illinois and Meridian Street. Owner Mikol Vanderyacht, age 53, is excited for the move. Vanderyacht said the main reason behind the move is wanting to own their own building. This would be an upgrade for the company. Lori Clough, age 50, longtime stylist at the salon is excited for the move also and thinks it will positively impact business.
